I remember back in the early sixties before they sprayed for the larvae, the junebugs would become epidemic every 7 years and cover everything in sight. yuck...sidewalks looked like a moving mass and it crunched when you walked. Thank God for science.
As a much married man I have come to some realizations about marriage and SOME people. I have experienced a relationship that moved into marriage after a period of living together and seen the relationship change. One or both of the people involved have a preconceived idea what a "husband" or a "wife" a should be or act like. After the marriage a blueprint seems to be superimposed on the relationship that may have nothing to do with reality and causes stress due to it's unrealistio nature. If something isn't broken then why fix it. These ideas have been imprinted on us throughout our upbringing and take an introspective search to reveal. According to research (in North America anyway) we now have practise marriages before moving on to the main event and that has driven the divorce rate through the roof. IMHO
Usually it's the black flies first and then the mosquitos but this year the mosquitos are in full force and the black flies aren't biting yet (just being pesky). Some years the black flies drive the deer and moose deep into the woods to escape them (poor creatures)...things ya see when ya don't have a gun

there are probably lots more but I don't know how internationally famous they are.
Probably only because you deserve to be...if the shoe fits? Your generalities insult the intelligence of the membership here (or at least mine...sounds like another generality).
Agreed...a person has to lie to themselves first before they can lie to anyone else. I would act in a pleasant manner (I am a gentleman MOST of the time) and see if there is anything interesting in their personality, after all there was some attraction or we wouldn't be there. Lacking that I would simply say there was no chemistry and leave it at that.
You are in a great area to drive through. There are so many beautiful roads and lakes in upper New York State that you really can't go wrong. Now my idea (by motorcycle) and your idea (by car) may vary a little in touring destinations but Tupper Lake and Lake George are also nice. You are close enough to Vermont and New Hampshire to enjoy their scenery as well. Have fun.
