Ok so this drunk staggers into this bar that has opened up right around the corner from his apartment and as he leans against the bar he looks around to see the place and spots a couple of dart boards off to the side.
The bartender says that seeing as this is his first time in the bar the first drink is on the house. "That's really nice of ya and this place looks great, but do you have any darts for the dart boards?" Sizing up how drunk the guy is the bartender also notes that there aren't really any people around the area of the dart boards to hurt so he hands the guy a set of darts and says "ok fella but be careful you don't hurt yourself".
With that the drunk grabs the darts and staggers over to the playing area and as he is trying to line up the boards for his first throw he leans forward and almost falls over as he throws the first dart. As luck would have it the dart lands smack dab in the bullseye. "Hey buddy did you see that...I got a bullseye on my first dart. Don't I get a prize for that?" "You sure do" says the bartender and frantically looks around for something to give him. Spying a glass bowl on the bar with a turtle in it he quickly grabs the turtle and hands it to the drunk who briefly looks at it and stuffs it in his pocket and staggers out the door to go home.
A week later the same guy staggers back into the bar late at night and recognising the drunk, the bartender says "Welcome back, nice to see you again. What will it be?" So the drunk orders a beer and asks if he can have the darts again. The bartender looks over the area around the dart boards and deciding it would be safe enough he hands the drunk the darts again. The drunk works his way over to the dart boards and raises a dart to throw as he takes a sip of his beer and low and behold he hits the bullseye again. "Hey buddy I did it again" he tells the bartender. "Don't I get another prize for that?" "Sure, sure" the bartender says "but what did I give you last week?" The drunk replies
Nope, I'm just north of Lake Ontario by about 25 miles so we are farther south than parts of the United States. It's not usual for snow this late in April but it isn't unheard of either. This came from the east coast and when the wind blows from the east look out. I'm sure it will only last a short while and nothing will stay on the ground for longer than a few hours. Getting kinda tired of the winds that we've had the last few weeks though, gotta make sure the clips are on the hot tub cover or we could lose it. Come on summertime
It's been a real mixed bag this spring with plus 20c degree days in early March and now at the end of April it's cool enough to snow. Up and down like a toilet seat but hopefully once May gets here it will stabilize and bring some nice warm sunny weather (however due to a veryyyyy mild winter with little snow) we need the precipitation.
Yes I have and it's been two glorious years and counting. Now for the reason I am still here...as my lovely lady will attest, there are some very nice people here and I thoroughly enjoy both the forums and the blogs as well as all the fun games available to play. Wishing you all the same success that we have found, keep your hopes alive as I believe there is someone for all of us.
It depends on where your consciousness lies Pedro. If you identify only with the physical part of your being then you are limited to the 10% of your brain (monkey mind) that you use but if you expand your consciousness to the level above the physical plane then you are above and beyond the level of the brain (and thought) and into the level of soul (pure consciousness). It's kinda like...do you want to be conscious only in the part of you that dies (physically) or do you want to be conscious in the part of you that lives forever (soul)? It adds a whole new dimension to thinking.
Thoughts are like clouds passing by until we see one we would like to think about. The art of just being consciouss is a state without thought where you are consciouss on the level of soul and not the monkey mind (physical). jmho
As our friend Pointy has no point he should be bannished to the "pointless forest" and have to frolic all day long with Oblio and Arrow...anyone remember that album and accompanying cartoon???? (by Nillson)
That certainly makes your darker moods more understandable. I was married to a lady diagnosed Schizophenic (no it wasn't the same one who is bipolar) after our marriage and can tell others through experience that it is very painful to be the partner of someone who suffers from this disease, as you remain helpless on the sidelines. Enjoy your good days Still.
Because when we were married the Ukraine was still part of mother Russia and I'm sure they still aren't happy with having to let it go. Some very beautiful ladies and wonderful cooks from the Ukraine. Terrific family oriented people
You will enjoy it. If you feel like going a little farther afield then I recommend the north shore of Prince Edward Island (Cavendish Beach) as it runs for miles.
RE: what is everyones favorite animal?
Have to agree with you there but a purebred Arabian is the nicest in my opinion.
