I almost can't believe some of the questions I am reading from ladies on CS. I'm also getting the impression that some ladies in other countries have forever vowed to be the 'male specimens of our humanity's' doormats.
This is my opinion and please don't shoot the messenger! The President of South Africa has sent me to tell 'you all' the truth! Ok, not really ;)
One of the questions raised was:
Does a lady need to cover the bill of the man that is visiting her from another country, and if it doesn't work out does she owe the man something? (Question reduced into a nutshell)
My answer:
NO!!!
If a man wants to visit you, then he must pay the bill. If it doesn't work out that's just how life goes, and tough luck!
That is why it is better to get to know someone over a period of time first, with emailing, messaging, telephone calls etc.
Better yet, if the man is so serious tell him to ask your father permission to visit you ;)
I believe that most of us South Africans are more conservative, and possibly due to our high crime rate, have wised up.
Ladies no one needs to be that desperate to hook up with a man that you sell yourself short.
PS: If a man wants to visit me, not only will he pay his own way, but he will have to pay my father too. If he doesn't like me in the end, he can send an email to our President and ask for some sort of compensation. (Ok kidding about this part)
But seriously:
Be wise and don't compromise!!! Give no man your cash. Let men be men. And ladies be ladies.
