When you feel good inside and out you are so much better able to be there for others. Do you feel guilty when you do something for yourself? Moms you know what I'm talking about here right? All give , give , give and soon you are completely drained with nothing left to give....then the resentments sets in and guess what? The people that you want to so be there for don't really like ya very much anymore
Thats when you should take it as a sign that you need some "me time" doesn't mean you should shut everyone out (unless you're taking a hot bath)
it just means that you need a little break from it all to focus on your own well being be it physical, mental or both!
I have learned over the years that being the best me that I can possibly be will make me so much better for those around me, those that I love. So close the shades, unplug the phone...I mean shut off your cell , shut down the computer and tell everyone you will be UNAVAILABLE for the next four hours...politely of course

Here is something to think about .....a person's home.
Does a person's home say a lot about that person? Whether it is a big mansion , a small cottage or apartment, how important is it to you? and have you ever dated someone who you really liked but after seeing their home , you just could date this person again? Whether the reason is because they kept their home filthy, messy or maybe even the decor, location or style was something you just could not see yourself being able to live with?
Driving in my car the other day on a rainy , cloudy Michigan day...listening to music playing softly on the radio, mesmerized by the wiper's hypnotic rhythm I realized how at peace and really grateful I was at that moment. Yes, grateful for the fresh smell of the rain washing away all of the heat and dryness in the air, I felt glad to be alive and well.
It is the simple things I thought YES those are the things that make this life worthwhile above anything else.
I have seen some extra ordinary relationships, some not so great and some night mares . Some of them through the eyes of my friends and family, still others through my own eyes and personal experiences.
The one thing about relationships between men and women which I have noticed is that the longest , most stable relationships are not necessarily the ones where the two people have the most in common or get along the best, they are those who are the most willing to open up to one another and to expose their inner most thoughts , feelings and dreams. This takes courage and a real desire to take the journey together onto a much deeper level. It can be scary....as if you are giving up some of your power to another, trusting that person fully not to crush your spirit , your soul, your world . Allowing them to see the deepest parts of you.....
How many of us are honestly willing to do this?
I waited and waited for someone to post a controversial blog or something exciting so I guess its up to me to stir things up a little so here goes:
MEN...who are they and what do they want from us? At times it seems that they are some sort of alien life form and we are but mere prey as they wait to devour our very souls----> in other words this dating stuff can be a pain in the ars
So tell us guys what do ya want from us? Come out with it. Do not be afraid to describe what your idea of the perfect female would be or the perfect situation for a relationship.

There is a piece of land just behind the local Library where I go now and then and I dream to someday live on a spot with such beauty. I often stand there and gaze at it dreaming of a house on that beautiful hill perfectly lined with pines...it looks so peaceful and natural. This is my dream. Simple and yet seemingly unreachable, untouchable.....never to be realized. For if it is it will no longer be a dream.

Just feeling down lately.....can't sleep, just can't seem to think of anything positive.
I'm not really the type of person who gets "depressed" but it seems as though I'm in a slump in my life right now and don't now how to get myself out of it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is an illusion on an ever changing canvas. That which cannot be explained, possessed, captured or preserved and yet must be nurtured, cared for and treasured in order to thrive and to....live.
Take time to enjoy each sunset for each is uniquely different. Take time to breath in the crisp morning dew for you will not be able to do this forever......Take time to notice the innocence and sincerity in a child's smile for this is what life is supposed to be about.

I try to "figure things out" to "analyze" and understand the mechanisms and workings behind a good relationship and what makes men tic but ya know what? I find that I keep going back to square one so why not just have fun with it and GO NUTS. LAUGH
