Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner, iconic founder of Playboy, has died at age 91.

Just something to think about. There would have been an other to put images to paper and folded and stapled, being stashed under beds or in bathrooms. Still, he made an achievement.

age

The stigma of an age difference. Funny because chronological age is different from emotional age. It's possible that the younger may match an older in terms of mental development. This is why I look less at an age in numbers and more at an age in development. After all, sometimes one has had earned the experience of years that contradict the age in years,

To eliminate the possibilities due to chronological age is an error. One must also consider children and location. The physical attraction is very influential but can't be the ultimate decision maker, as simply eliminating by age is the solution. I am all for the coupling of like minds and hearts. To miss an opportunity due to age is a tragic mistake.

To entertain all possibilities can bring wonderful results.

circle

The circle is full
With two ends that have finally
Met
And it is a clear bubble floating
By the ending of two

What was initiated
So many years ago
The rebound bound by
Deception and denial
This circle is made

As I stand on the peripheral
Grateful that the bubble floats
Away
A strange, deep sadness for
Effort made to not feel sad

A circle was initiated
Years ago
Finally meeting
Two endings
Two beginnings

the errand of my ways

When I worked at a bank, I had been asked to pick up some snacks for the boardroom meeting. I wasn't crazy about shopping for the bigwigs but I did take a moment to consider the people attending. None were under the age of 50 and their BMI was over a healthy number. Compounding the issue was the stress level I imagined a VIP would have. Any type of junk food would be deadly! I could have just made some sweet tea with a little antifreeze. Because of my great concern for their health, I opted for the sugarfree muffins and cookies. In the words of my Indiana mother, it went over like "a lead balloon".

hot

The day is hot
The sand burns feet
I sit on a towel, watching
A tadpole swimming
I adore the vision of a child

The day is hot
I watch, worried
As my minnow swims beyond
As she thinks beyond years
My minnow is one with the water

The day is hot
My minnow is now a fish
Elegant and beautiful
One with the water
She makes ripples that match the water's

I am in love with nature
Her nature that is one with water
As she swims
A sight to remember
As I reminisce of hot days and towels on sand

information

I have been talking with a co-worker and a thought came to mind. As we meet people, we need to assess what we reveal. Then, I thought of it like a barter system or trading information as if it's currency. I like to make a good trade. Something that's of equal value. The more sensitive the information, the more valuable or costly. With the giving of sensitive information, a degree of trust is developed. I will ruminate on this for a good while.

makeup

Last night after work, I browsed the department store that is my new home. I looked at the clearance items and then went to the fragrance section. I dutifully checked out the Beautiful fragrance and talked to an associate at the cosmetics counter. She approached me about the full-time position at the Elizabeth Arden counter. I was a bit caught off guard. I was thinking, I don't wear much makeup and I don't have a clue about skin maintenance. I told her it sounds good but I would feel guilty about leaving my department. I feel a loyalty to my co-worker. She told me that I have to think about myself first. This has me thinking...

I consulted Mother and she encouraged me to go for it. I work today, so I will stop by the Arden counter and express my interest. Normally, I wouldn't attempt this position but it feels like a gift. I would be a fool not to act on it. I'll still love my chairs though.
