The day is hot
The sand burns feet
I sit on a towel, watching
A tadpole swimming
I adore the vision of a child

The day is hot
I watch, worried
As my minnow swims beyond
As she thinks beyond years
My minnow is one with the water

The day is hot
My minnow is now a fish
Elegant and beautiful
One with the water
She makes ripples that match the water's

I am in love with nature
Her nature that is one with water
As she swims
A sight to remember
As I reminisce of hot days and towels on sand
