India pivots

As shown in the below video, India has greatly decreased the amount of oil it buys from Russia. There are multiple reasons for this and the video touches on them. At the same time, although India had initially claimed neutrality in Russia's illegal invasion and war with Ukraine, in the past month numerous sharp eyed persons have begun noticing (and posting photos of) 155 mm artillery shells being used by Ukraine that bear unmistakable evidence that they have been supplied to Ukraine by India.
My impression is India did not want to pick a side to back until which side would win became more clear. At the same time there was a financial incentive to buy Russian oil and oil products at a huge discount while waiting to see which side would win the war. Clearly India has decided the winner of the conflict will not be Russia.

I have a question

but blog rules do not allow me to use the question as a Blog title, so here it is..

In the coming Nuclear War, presuming you are one of the 100,000 humans who will still be surviving 2 years later, what item do you think you will miss the most about our former civilization?

I will name a few of my own 'I am sure I will miss them.'
Chocolate
Ice Cream, many flavors of
fresh fruit and canned sliced peaches
beef steaks
eating fish
good TV shows and movies
the Internet
Walmart, Lowes and Target stores (open ones, not burnt out ruins where one was once upon a time)
Fresh coffee beans
strawberry shortcake
Being able to come home without showering before entering
cooking on a gas flame vs burning radioactive wood with radioactive smoke
A fresh source of LIon batteries as they usually are only good for about 500 recharges
new underwear
new dungarees
new shoes and boots
dogs, cats and birds
bug spray

That's off the top of my head. What will be on your list of most missed items?

Did they really do that?

There have been some claims in the past year about who took what territory, who ran away, what kind of vehicle was that on the airport tarmac, etc. Many rely only on what various media claim. Reality is sometimes those media lie.
Don't be fooled. Look for yourself. Here is a video introduction to 4 totally free satellite services any person can use from their home computer. Most here already know of Google Earth, but not many knew it has different versions. This video shows you the best one. It also shows you 3 more not owned or affiliated with Google you can use. See for yourself what is real and what is not. If the video doesn't load for your location here, the title of the video on YT is
"OSINT At Home #9 – Top 4 Free Satellite Imagery Sources"
A manual search on YT should bring it up for you if the link here doesn't work. professor

Interview with US Army General Hodges (Retired)

One of YouTube's most respected bloggers (Perun) did an interesting interview with former US General Ben Hodges about NATO Training and Lessons from the War in Ukraine,
I present it here for those who realize the 'MSM' has probably been telling truths all along since 2016 and who are curious about what lays ahead in that conflict theater.
Listen or not, your choice.

Vacation in the Gaza strip

Real estate prices should be dropping sharply in the Gaza Strip by this time next week. The population density will probably also be a lot less which means you will have plenty of room at the beach to spread out your blanket if you don't mind the smell of not collected corpses.

Apothis is coming to visit

in 2029. On April's Friday the 13th. An okay day for some, but probably a really bad day for a few million people. April 13, 2029. This asteroid is no bigger than the Rose Bowl, but it will make the closest approach of any known asteroid to date.

Asteroids that already hit the Earth and caused extinctions are not being counted in that last sentence.]

Apothis will pas within 18,000 miles of Earth (below many satellites). Should the calculations prove to be a little off, or an impact with something else causes a variation of only 600 miles, then Earth's gravity will catch it and just 7 years later it will hit and devastate the planet. professor

The US's NASA is aware of this of course, as are several other space agencies, however no one has allocated any budget money to do anything about it. The US Congress is much more concerned with such critical things as nominating Donald Trump to be the next Speaker of the House, the infiltration of WOKE thinking into the education system, darker skinned people crossing the boarder and of course this week's super model. So don't look to under funded NASA to save the Earth. Bruce Willis is needed to fix a leak on an oil well.

China, Japan and India in theory have the potential to launch an intercepting missile and divert the asteroid, but they haven't even mentioned it yet. Russia of course already shot it's wad at the moon and has no money or facilities for such a mission.

The real question becomes what is the safest place on Earth to watch the catastrophe with your date from?

Triangular lights in the sky.

A Juggalo (Clown Posse fan) friend of mine told me a few weeks ago that she had seen 3 lights in the night sky moving in a strange triangular formation. Although many other people on the road had also stopped their cars and gotten out to look at the 3 bright white lights, she took a picture of them for me (and her) and sent them to me. When I expand the positions I see them. Sure enough, 3 bright, white, lights in an Equilateral triangle formation. She advised they were pretty bright and moved together in formation before finally just going way up and disappearing. I found no online reports about that day's sightings. Therefore I filed it away as a Hmmm incident.

Yesterday morning she advised of a second incident the night before (Tuesday). Again 3 lights in a triangle formation darting here, darting there, going up, then down, then darting away again. She doesn't believe they were more than 5 miles distant. What was different this time is that the lights changed color, Red, blue, green, yellow and white. Seemingly at random. Sje could hear a faw away hum. Then they went way up high and the lights went out and a few seconds later the noise stopped too. Again she took a photo and sent it to me. Yes 3 noticiably bright lights in triandle formation. A blue, a red and a white. I went online and scrolled backwards in the FlightAware air traffic radar for the time period she described. Nothing found. To me that is interesting. Visible by camera and the naked eye, but not by radar?

A more extensive online search pulls up a similar report from a bunch of US Marines on Maneuvers, about 50 of them who also reported, in 2021, seeing a triangle of lights in the sky. However unlike my friend they had aerial flare capability she doesn't. So when it was overhead they provided some local overhead illumination to light it up. They reported seeing a black Delta shaped aircraft that could hover and fly in any direction without turning that was at least the size of a football field. Seconds after being illuminated it slew sideways and then straight up, it went once around the sky, horizon to horizon, very quickly and then simply disappeared. Several of the Marines made posts about the incident, but it is not generally believed the incident was included in the list of known UAP incidents.

China's Belt and Road initiative begins to crumble

as most client states begin to default on their loan repayment requirements. A guest speaker this week at the 3rd Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative is the wanted war criminal Vladimir Putin. The B&R customer countries are mostly countries with large amounts of natural resources, rather than poor countries with not much of anything that would have greatly benefited from any improvements.. Most of the investment money is used to develop energy & mineral resources China hoped to someday export (aka pillage) and profit off as a partial repayment of the loan money due to China in return for the improvements on that countries roads and infrastructure. Sadly, like happened inside China's cities, many of the Chinese companies contracted by China to do the work in those places where the B&R was happening took out loans to start the constructions, started the constructions, then (under Chinese banks liberal loan policies) took out more loans to begin other projects, which they began before the first project was even half done, then repeated and repeated until the collapsing Chinese economy forced a halt to the easy loan policies. The projects not completed and their own cash on hand shrinking the countries can not repay, the energy and mineral infrastructures not built China can't export the resources of the host country, and of course the Chinese construction companies can't repay their loans to the Chinese banks or finish the projects they began. China is now faced with the choices of complete all projects and not see any financial benefit for decades, or simply walking away from many B&R projects in many countries

China's financial exposure to date on the B&R is over 600 Billion dollars in loan promises from the host countries. This is in addition to another 600 Billion dollars of B&R investment loans to develop oil resources in Russia. The investment rating risk of the projects is currently at B- which is only a step away from being a total loss. Chinese investments into Russia ceased in 2022, but Russia has not repaid it's debts to China and many projects there are not completed. The largest recent recipient of Chinese investment money is Iraq (10.5 Billion dollars of signed loan contracts) for the development of Iraq's oil resources. The total current debt exposure of China is about 1.3 Trillion dollars of which about 60% is in default.

The current 3rd forum in China is as more about the country leaders meeting with a debt collector and offering their excuses as it is about anything else.

The below YT video provides more detail, history, figures, etc. .

Russia's 2024 draft of it's budget allocates 1/3 to the military.

From Reuters:

"Oct 2 (Reuters) - Defence spending will account for almost one third of Russia's total budget expenditure in 2024, the government's draft plans show, as Moscow diverts ever more resources towards prosecuting its war in Ukraine.

Russia also plans to ramp up state borrowing to help fund what it calls a "special military operation" in Ukraine in the coming years and is counting on a recovery in oil and gas revenues to pre-invasion levels to do so.

Spending under the "national defence" section of Russia's budget will total 10.78 trillion roubles ($109 billion) next year, or 29.4% of total planned expenditure of 36.66 trillion roubles, according to the finance ministry's budget documents that outline the government's fiscal plans for 2024-2026.

In 2021, the year before Moscow launched its invasion of Ukraine, defence spending totalled 3.57 trillion roubles, 14.4% of total spending. In 2022, the share of defence spending rose to 17.7%, data on Russia's electronic budget page showed earlier this year.

Spending figures for 2022 were subsequently removed from the online budget portal. The most up-to-date data for 2023 was published as part of the finance ministry's 2024-26 budget plans.

The finance ministry has allocated 6.41 trillion roubles to defence in 2023, or 21.2% of total budget expenditure of 30.27 trillion roubles, but Finance Minister Anton Siluanov last week said total spending would be above plan at around 33.5 trillion roubles.

That may mean that defence spending will also be significantly higher than first envisaged.

Moscow doubled its target for defence spending in 2023 to 9.7 trillion roubles, Reuters reported exclusively in August, citing a government document.

"The budget's structure shows that the main emphasis is on ensuring our victory - the army, defence capability, armed forces, fighters - everything needed for the front, everything needed for victory is in the budget," Siluanov said last week.

"This is a big strain for the budget, not a small one, but it is our absolute priority."

EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE FREEZE
As defense spending in 2024 triples from pre-invasion levels, the share of spending on "national security", which covers funding for law enforcement agencies, is also rising, set to reach 9.2% in 2024, the documents showed.

To compensate for those increases, Moscow will effectively freeze spending on education and healthcare. The share of spending on "national economy", encompassing roads, infrastructure and construction, will decrease to 10.6% in 2024, the lowest share since 2011.

"Social policy", traditionally the leading spending area on state salaries, pensions and benefits, will account for less spending than defence at 7.73 trillion roubles in 2024, and with its lowest share of spending since 2011 of 21.4%.

Spending on those areas will nominally rise, but below inflation, meaning real-term cuts.

Chief Economist, Russia and CIS, at Renaissance Capital Sofya Donets said that taking defence and national security spending to almost 40% of all Russia's expenditure pending may have a strong short-term impact, but will contribute little to growth in the long-term due to their minimal impact on tax revenues.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov last week said increasing defence spending was "absolutely necessary" for the budget because Russia is living "in a state of hybrid war".

Russia argues that the West is fighting a hybrid war against it to sow discord and ultimately carve up its vast natural resources, allegations that Western leaders deny, saying Moscow's decision to invade Ukraine was unprovoked.

Ukraine vows to eject every last Russian soldier from its territory, and casts the invasion as an imperial-style land grab by Russia.

Great Wall of China begins to crack

Profits from Real Estate make up about 30% of China's total Gross Domestic Profit (GDP). Currently most of the Real Estate development companies in China are showing huge financial loss as the market has collapsed and the largest company (with over 181 Billion dollars of debt obligations) has gone into default. Many of the directors have been arrested and face possible execution because of criminal fraud charges. Other larege Real Estate companies with holdings in places such as Malaysia and Bermuda are also tottering on the edge of default and bankruptcy. The way the Chinese judiciary handles the bankruptcy of a publicly traded country is not the same as how courts of the Western world handle such cases. In China the penalty for going bankrupt can include execution and some CEOs have in recent years already been executed. 34 of the top 50 Chinese Real Estate developers have already gone into default. The77,000 acre Chinese Market Gardens complex in Malaysia is currently tottering on the edge of default and it's owner is hoping the government of Malaysia will somehow provide capital and bail them out. This is unlikely. The payment on Market Garden bonds is due in mid October. If the firm can not raise the capital it too will join the list of Chinese development companies that own miles of half built high rise complexes that will forever sit empty and unoccupied. China in the past 15 years had encouraged Chinese banks to issue as many development loans and mortgage loans as possible and encouraged recipients to borrow more and use the money to develop and sell as much as possible. This allowed much of China's population to engage in bidding wars for apartment homes in buildings that were never built (or even started) while instantly assuming a mortgage debt on the not yet completed (or even started) future home. Because of the bidding wars the dollar (Yuan) cost of the future properties shot for the sky. Smart borrowers were permitted to sell their mortgages on not yet built properties and after paying it off re-enter the market and receive on paper profits each time. The sudden lock down policy China implemented during the Covid crisis literally prevented many from even going to work much less make mortgage payments, while also halting all construction work. This assured their (not built yet) homes would go into foreclosure with the banks assuming Title and ownership of properties that did not exist. Meanwhile the banks continued to issue new speculative development loans until recently. Developers plowed forward, but after Covid ended the buying market had ended.

This video provides more information. It is possible China's belt and road initative may soon basically experience a major down scaling.
