And while illegals may well be lower in number, most of the illegals in the USA entered LEGALLY, they then remained after their time limit has expired.
So the wall is really just an excuse byTrump to try and have his name stand out historically.
This is just one year or so. Imagine what we and the countries that are used as crossings to get to our border, go through every year. There isn't as many actual legal entries turned illegal as you'd like to believe.
That new border is doing more than replacing "barriers?" that were already there. Most of it didn't even qualify as an actual barrier.
The new wall, with it's actual intention to deter illegal border crossings, is an actual barrier.
What ever happened to "Walls don't work?" Went the way of Russian collusion and if Trump is elected the stock market will crash?

People are using tunnels, airplanes, boats, vehicles, etc. to enter into the USA.
ICE is making little effort to stop them. The only time you hear of a raid is when there will be a photo op.
The point is that it's not so easy to just walk in or jump a half-assed fence to plant down some where.
The tunnels are few, air plane use is the quote many use for the legal turned illegal, boats don't carry potential thousands at a time.
Roughly 140,000 work visas are available each year to qualified people. Not all of those by a long shot turn into illegal status.
As the border slowly becomes more manageable, attention will turn towards other forms of entry, including the over stayers.
The mass influx that Trump made such a song and dance about never happened, it was all in his head, more lies and embellished stories that Trump excels in doing.
The wall will do nothing to stop the legal entry and do nothing to stop the drug trade, it will just become a white elephant that has cost American tax payers a fortune needlessly.

Enemies of liberty and civilization are doing everything in their power to promote open borders in the USA because they know if they can only create an invasion of crime and terrorism here that is big enough, they can destroy our country. And as the United States goes, so goes the rest of civilization.
If you try to get into one of their countries YOU WILL BE SHOT ON SIGHT. Yet, with relentless propaganda funded by their evil empire they have turned a major political party in the United States into an army of trained seals trying to destroy us from within by promoting open borders.
