Yes, I agree. A person may marry someone who, at the time appeared to be the right choice, but then soon after, they turned out to be the worst decision one could make, and lead to all sorts of problems.
Yes, I see what you mean. The choice was flawed to start with and examining the real reason for attraction in the first place would probably have lead to a better concept of oneself and the other person, and consequently prevent what follows. Does that make sense?
