Way with Words

Some comments to the thread ‘Why,are cunucks so stuck up/smug’ by reb56 caught my attention for the way they were put across or the prose . They are:

1.Veritaas: Well blow me down, knock me sideways and whilst your there, rattle my greycells, and shake some chilli on me, and tiggle my toes! Bless cherry pie peaches!

2. rohaan : I really do believe that you get whatever Karma you're putting out. If one sees Canucks, as stated, as being stuck up or whatever, then for that person, they are. It doesn't make it true, any truer than the medieval rulers telling Galileo the earth was flat. Read a poem titled "The Right Kind Of People" someday. It very brilliantly illustrates that we all carry our own luggage, battered, nice, or whatever, and it is a mistake to expect others to change our negativity, if we have that as a personality trait. Incidentally, I also believe that people are negatively "wired" (can't help it) but that we all have the potential to be that way, as well, OR to be friendly and outgoing, if we choose. Part of being a responsible adult is the learning process of being nice when you don't really feel like it, holding your tongue when you know the other person deserves to be told off, having class even when you think that's the last thing you feel like having. One must learn and work toward a greater example of neighborliness. It's part of being an adult.

3. venusenvy: If you go to Ottawa, make sure to visit Rue de Pattiserie I always spend a day there and eat nothing but pasteries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! And I still dont get to try all the ones I would like. Its a very quaint street closed to traffic. Nothing but the best european bakeries. If you do get to Toronto, try to go to a lil village north of there called Klienberg. You will find the McMicheal gallery there. Its the spiritual home of the group of seven. It will truly give you an impression of the Canadian soul. O and I hope you like beer

The east coast rocks! and you will meet some of the best peeps on earth. Toronto (Tarana) is the "New York" of Canada. I think the scenery on the west coast is the most breathtaking of all, But very different from the east.It looks like a beer commercial. The most important thing you can bring on a trip to Can. is a sense of humour...You will find out what I mean.

You should go...Im sure you will like it. Its a beautiful, diverse country. I also think it will change your perspective. I know mine was after having resided in the States for a year. Experience is always the best Teacher

4.DodgeBabe: Ottawa is much nearer to me than NYC! I can almost smell it! I want to see Quebec and Montreal also. There is so much to see, and after watching Little Mosque on the Prairie, the Heartland of Canada is also calling! I have a full passport, so I fully intend to go of the Bridge to Canada from Ogdensburg fairly soon.
