Anyone for a genuine friendship?

Is there anyone out there interested in a really genuine friendship---who can set time to get to know each other through emails and chat....and hopefully lead to a lasting relationship, no matter how far the distance may be, between us? I have posted my profile but deleted my photo as most of those who wrote me were scammers. I hope I can meet someone here who is in search too, of the this real and genuine but elusive happiness in life.

Yes, I too will be curious to see if friendship can actually develop. "Dating" (meeting people with a relationship in mind) is a bit too intense for me, I want it easy and relaxed now and not feel like I owe anyone anything.
