Letters to the President Ahmadinezad

The film initially, to the satisfaction of the President of Iran, had to bear the title "Democracy in Action" and reveals a complete lack of meaningful action to tackle the problems of the nation. Contrary to the expectations of the authorities, based on interviews with the Iranians, it draws a picture of the country poverty, rampant inflation, limited freedom, full of problems posed by Islam, whose identity is built on the concept of sacrifice and hostility towards other nations.

Hi Lucasz11 wave

It's difficult for me to comment because the reality of life in Iran is different than my experience.

My impression: Iran's people are proud and determined to be self-sufficient. Their government is involved in many facets of their lives. There are many more rules/laws to follow than there are here.

Greater government control of life tends to suppress innovation and economic activity... which depresses the standard of living. Society is more orderly but also less self-sufficient.

Over time, each society finds its balance. Hopefully they will find theirs through incremental and peaceful change.
