by doing good things for others, they are more likely to do good things for you. The same would hold true for negative actions......all d best....hug
i don't believe in karma but i do have friends who tell me it is true that karma exist......i just do good and live my life the way i see fit
I believe in karma but not the western version. Not in karmic justice.
Personally, each my action or thought has a response in my life. Whatever it is good or not so. So karma does exist I guess roll eyes
An example of instant karma;

i don't.
Karma is everything that has lead you to where you are today. Its not about your future or future events. It simply put you where you are at this moment and gives you the means to make the decisions at the present. What occurs after that moment is not karma.
Dajnut, you are correct but that is not karma. That is the forces of nature at work. Every thought becomes reality once it has been thought. I would have to refresh my memory on this subject because it very complex or hard to explain. Yet once its understand it seems so obvious and simple. It effects every part of our lives including our happiness.
@jimnastic Lol.. its funny..
Dear jules love your r great if you experience Karma.. I beleive in Karma not only i but all have to beleive this universal truth. To beleive karma one must know who is he / she from where they come from how they took birth. our life is just like a firtile land & karma is our seeds so what Karma ( seeds ) we will put in our life ( firtile land ) we will get back the same thing. As we saw so we will reape. If we will good karma we will get back good thing & if we will do bad karma we will get back bad things.
Jules and wish, I disagree with karma being what you reap is what you sow. They are two separate things.
What you reap what you sow is nature at work. Karma is as what wish said the seed. And the plant the seed came from and so on.

I know of a man who was a preacher. A very good man. Did everything right. One day he became I'll and lost his legs. His wife of 25 years left him. His life changed for the worse very drastically almost overnight. He felt he did not deserve this.

But somewhere in his past actually maybe his parents or their parents they may have lived in a place that altered their genes. This was carried over for generations until it struck him I'll. In his life he did not deserve this but his karma predetermined his fate. This is karma.

I've k own people who were bad people who never suffered from their consequences in their life but their children paid the price. This is karma. Things we don't control.
Yes I do! I also believe it goes hand in hand with the law of attraction. I think a person can learn allot by really examining both and their relationship. Good post! cheers bouquet grin
Oh, my, yes, I definitely believe in karma. What goes up, must come down! LOL.
I kind of believe in karma, but it has nothing to do with religion. I don't have any personal experience to explain this, because I have never done anything too bad or too good, which would affect my future. There is a famous saying here, "
Bad deeds, as well as good, may rebound upon the doer". But of course it is not always true. So I just follow my conscience and not do something that will make me guilty.
all right guys thanks a lot for the comments.
I really apreciated it
When I first got divorced me and my ex wife sold the house. She had a friend at the bank and ended up with almost all the money. She spent the money on 3 cars instead of paying the bills, all of witch were in my name. She got a car and so did her 2 sons. Not my children. I was furious but decided to leave them alone and just pay the bills.
But within 6 months all 3 cars were totalled and no good. I did nothing to get even. I let my anger go and soon the 3 of them lost their cars.
I've studied some Buddhism, still of course learning, its my understanding our true nature is moving energy.
Karma is a word used to describe moving energy.
As you sow so shall you ripe.
With our actions of body speech and mind we create out tomorrows.

Good motivation develops good outcomes. Its not possible to turn pigs ear into silk purse.
Good motivations seeds good out comes....
Rob, I'm not sure where you get your information from but there are as many versions of Buddhism as there are the bible. But from my readings there is no karmic justice. That is a western interpretation. Yes there is positive and negative karma but it dies not promise good things in the future for good behavior.

Our karma is simply our past. It put us where we are right now and gives us the knowledge we have to make decisions at hand.
I would have to read up again to give a better definition but this is basically what I learned.

See imo if we expect good things to come from making good decisions we will be let down when bad things happen. And bad things will always happen. Like the person talking about the cars you cannot say the cars were wrecked because the ex was dishonest in the divorce. One act like that does not cause another direct act. We cannot say they did this so that happened not when it comes to real karma.
And cosmic karma is in direct conflict of the path to enlightenment. To have expectations for your good deeds will not lead you to enlightenment.
And why would you want to turn a pigs ear into a silk purse? confused

And to the fellow who's ex stole from him, it was your karma that allowed her to steal from you. Karma is about personal responsibility not about what happens to others.

always remember,its about the path to enlightenment not justice.
i believe life is what you make of it, if you want things to happen just get off your backside and make them happen.
