First plebiscite since 60 years

Baden-Wuerttemberg has never been a country which asks its citizens like Switzerland, though there is a common border. Only because the GREEN party won the elections after the Fukushima catastrophe in Japan people are asked today to vote for or against a subsurface train station building project worth some billion Euros in Stuttgart, the capital city.
I already made up my mind and went to vote. Six cabins - all empty, no one there. So I agonna decide the election! Such a great plebiscite!

Hi Guadal, I read about this project, Stuttgart 21. It's very controversial and it will be interesting to watch the outcome of the referendum. Do you believe the state government will go with the outcome? Apparently the major contracts are already signed and breaking them will be as expensive as going forward with the build.
There also seem to be a big difference of opinion between the greens and their coalition partner; I wonder who will give in dunno

So, since you are the one deciding this election, did you vote for or against? laugh

the government will keep to the decision.
I guess it will be built because it is not just a majority which will win but there is a quorum, too. There has to be a high number of voters against it.
But to ask the people at all is worth it! I hope it may be a turning point.
I voted for exit of the project. There are more important things to spend the money on. But it is in the end a decision of the Deutsche Bahn (DB).

France (or french people) have much less against nuclear power stations, though nuclear power can devastate vast areas and it is not cheap if u calculate all costs.
it is much easier to use the wind and there is a lot of it in and above France.
I think the members of the Club of Rome are fools. they have been proofed wrong in many cases.

Cold fusion is important because it promises to be a new source of pollution-free, inexhaustible energy. The opponents of cold fusion tried their hardest to bury this newborn science, but they failed. Why?

The elites are only interested in control they already have all the money, politicians are only puppets.

If nuclear power is abandoned, there are hundred's of power plants around the world, these can not just be left without decommissioning who pays for that and the upkeep of the dumps. This will not happen as the military will never abandon there nuclear missiles.

There are endless amounts of oil this shortage nonsense was invent by the 7 sisters (the big 7 oil companies) to keep prices high. Petroleum is a sustainable resource that will last as long as Planet Earth. It has been estimated that there are over 847 billion tonnes of proven coal reserves worldwide. This means that there is enough coal to last us around 118 years at current rates of production. Uranium current output could be maintained for 270 years. handshake
