Celestial Readings Astro Update Dec 4-10 2011

Got Plans? So does retrograde Mercury! Just not exactly the same plans that were on your list of ‘things to do’. A weekend of surprises jump-starts December and for many, unexpected complications begins this update. A Moon and Uranus conjunction in Aries often suggests eruptions within the fabric of our day-to-day routines, with circumstances that keep us scratching our heads and wondering which piece to move next in the great chess game of life.

As any chess player knows, every move can be calculated but you can never see what is coming next from the other side of the game board. All you can do is control your own game piece. That means even with all of our free will focused and best intentions set forward, we still can not determine what life will present; we can only hope for the best and make certain we have a back up plan for those unanticipated moments. Hopefully, it is a stalwart plan that will catch us if we fall and set us back on our feet within a reasonable amount of time.

Tuesday the Moon’s transit into Taurus (>Dec 6, 9:30 AM EST) should impart the mindfulness we’ll need to be able to restore harmony and equilibrium as we strive to right the wrongs and straighten the picture on the wall before us. Often, it takes a moment or two to redistribute our energy and gain our balance back, but nothing can enable that process more quickly than a little generosity/kindness sprinkled about. Taking certain calculated risks is what is required, but even the best calculations do not guarantee a preferred outcome. As Robert Burns conveyed, ‘the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry’ …But knock on wood, peace of mind is a given if you keep your eye targeted on the vantage point of the heart. The heart always knows the right course to take even if the head fights with it. Retrograde Mercury is famous for making us repeat and second guess ourselves, so if all else fails wait until Dec 13th to make your move, (especially if it makes you feel better). There is no doubt some of us need that. I for one, am one. The most interesting thing is that in direct proportion to the amount of emphasis I place on… ‘the PLAN’ ~ the more usurping the circumstances seem to become.

At any rate, the Moon’s transit into Gemini on Thursday (>9:52PM EST) with the accompanying aspects, should supply us with ample energy and more than enough ‘wind’ to blow off the steam that may build up under the pressure of beguiling circumstances. Life is in the breath, and if all else fails, take a deep breath and regroup, if for no other reason but to re-balance yourself.

In the meantime, it helps to remember that every moment is as brand new and as malleable as soft clay and with a little effort we can shape into something beautiful, even if it’s not exactly what we had anticipated. ‘Tis the season to be jolly! My mother used to say, “Something good is going to happen!” And it always did! ~ Hug someone, lend a hand, go the extra mile. Even the simplicity of a kind word can impact the course of another’s day! That much you CAN control! Just have faith in yourself and in the power of LOVE.
