Celestial Readings Astro Update for Jan 8-15 2012
We all seem to have survived the holidays, more or less in one piece, and so this update starts out with the Moon (and us) in a more or less comfortable zone. Moon in Cancer is a fine place for the Moon, given that they ‘belong’ to each other, Cancer being home to the Moon. In this position, the Moon spends the first days of the week in opposition to the Sun. This usually causes the quiet ones to withdraw, and the outspoken folks to shout out in a pointed kind of way. The bases are loaded as well, with the planets in a aspect-congested arrangement.During this window of time, the Moon forms a brief, terse T-Square to both Saturn in Libra and Jupiter in Cancer and more significantly, the Moon becomes full in Cancer (Jan 9, 2:33AM, EST). This pumps up the volume a bit, and for those with a tendency to be emotional, well you can expect some emoting to be going on. Most likely, any debates that flare up, will undoubtedly concern the subject of money (or lack of it) since the Moon is squaring Jupiter in Taurus (and Taurus governs the financial arena of the zodiac). Also notable, the Full Moon finds itself as the apex significator in an aspect-pattern called the ‘Finger of Fate’. Temperamental decisions can be made under such influences and rethinking them through before taking action is highly recommended. Never act on impulse under such conditions.
Fortunately, the Moon moves quickly and by Tuesday morning will be safely in Leo, changing our perceptions considerably. It’s like being in the same place but putting on a different shade of sunglasses. Suddenly things seem a little brighter. The Leo personality is not what we would call ‘subdued’. It is usually zesty, boisterous, and exuberant. As any Leo would admit, (for all of its flaws, assertiveness and extended claws) Leo has a heart of gold, and gives unpretentiously in a most charitable fashion. If you are planning a party, this is the lunar time of the month it should be set for! People will show up, ~in full regalia~ complete with masks and feathered caps, even if it’s NOT a masquerade party! : )
Then the Moon moves from Leo into hustle-bustle Virgo. This sign requires (even demands) organization in order to function progressively. This is an excellent time to begin a new project, for a Grand Earth Trine emerges. The Grand Earth Trine promotes
