Celestial Readings Astro Update for Dec 18-25 2011

“For unto us a child is born, a son is given, and the shall be upon his shoulders, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 ~ Is there any doubt that nothing shines brighter in this world than the meaning and promise of Christmas? In the midst of our hustle and bustle, the last minute details and the wrapping of presents, we hear the songs of Christmas and they remind us that without the Light of God, the ‘Day-star’ of Jesus Christ, there would be no wonderful moment to still our hearts, to transport us above the routine (and sometimes the hum-drum) of day-to-day life and work! Herein then, lies the magic of this moment, for it points to our true nature, which is always joyful when giving freely, without expectation… And this week opens appropriately with the moon in Libra, the sign that represents the people we love, in a beautiful trine aspect to Venus, enhancing our relationships and bestowing romantic inclinations, resolution and peace of spirit.

Not to imply its been all ‘pie-in-the-sky’. There has been a perceptible tension in the air in past weeks, and not surprisingly, as we went from retrograde Mercury (November 24th to Dec 13th) directly into the lap of a dynamic (always motivating) T-Square, beginning Dec 15 the involving Venus, Jupiter and Saturn. T-Squares instigate action (often through challenge). However, their purpose, ultimately is to empower, and from an esoteric point of view, empowerment most assuredly IS a gift of spirit with sweeping potential (when intelligently employed /expressed) in the process of human development, as well as an objective (goal) that is it’s OWN reward.

T-Squares are a force to be reckoned with and are normally occurring in the celestial-sphere (and birth charts) well over 50, percent of the time. Although they indicate specific obstacles (an individual must surmount) they are the necessary building blocks of character strength and lend to personal confidence, determination and sense of purpose.

However, when they are occurring (in transit) only briefly, as with the faster moving planets (the moon, Mercury, Venus) they can actually create a bit of turmoil, such as the one we have been experiencing since Dec 15th.
