3 to 3, Bottom of the 9th, Bases Loaded

Rochester at Buffalo ... AAA Baseball (minor league professional baseball) ... just caught the end of the game.

Score was 3:3 ... they loaded the bases ... 2 outs ... 2 strikes and the batter took ball 2... just outside (I would have swung laugh ) ... on the next pitch ... 2:2 count ... a strike right down the middle that was hit to short center and Buffalo won!

cheering applause yay

Watching the game while on the elliptical just now.

Any favorite sports "situations" you like? When the score is tied in overtime? The new (regular season) shootout rule in the NHL?

"Extra time" in soccer/football perhaps?

When does a game/sport really catch your attention? wow

cheers

Inthemind, this is my favorite among favorites moments as a huge PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) fan. My team is Brgy. Ginebra and when I was in highschool I will cry and have a fight with my male classmates because they like the popular team and I dig the opposite.

This happened in 1999, my fave team was behind by two points in the last seconds of the game, and my favorite player, Bal "The Flash" David made a three points that made them win the game and if I remembered it correctly they had been champion of the conference.

Hi Shay! hug

Rather quiet around here, isn't it?

Wonderful to see you! ... I need to watch your video... I'll be right back!
Yea for the Bisons ! applause
They are the AAA affiliate of the Mets which is my favorite
baseball team.
My apologies to you, ITM:

Shay, that new picture of your is fantastic. You look so beautiful!
Wow, Shay - It was hard to see the shot but bringing the ball in from half court and a "buzzer-beater" of a shot! ... A very dramatic moment. cool

A little extra fun in cheering for the 'opposite' team sometimes. cheering

Thanks for sharing your memory/moment with us!
Hey Jim,

I also learned that the Bisons will host the Triple-A All-Star game in June. I enjoy a good display of skills and with some strategy rolled in, baseball is fun to watch. applause

Mets ... They pitched around (intentional walk for those not familiar) the 2nd batter ... a lefty who apparently has the best batting average in the league at the moment. Apparently your team's organization has done some good scouting. thumbs up
Music - I've only caught part of the Rangers vs Capitals game this afternoon... at the end of the 2nd period, Rangers we up 1:0 and the Caps ran exactly the play from your clip and scored (with only 5 seconds left in the period) to go into the 2nd intermission tied 1:1.

Watching "The Save" ... the left/right movement and radical change in body position to get in the way of the shot! ... really something to see. applause

Those moments... the "hero or goat" moments... that's what keeps me watching. cool

I watched this soccer/football match at home with my (late) father and my brother and I can't forget this one because the score was so tight. It's the match of Spain vs (the then) Yugoslavia in the final round of Group Stage in Euro Cup 2000 which was held in France (if I'm not mistaken).

Yugoslavia was leading the score 3 vs Spain 2, but Spain was given penalty shot during injury time to make it draw and it scored again in a minute to win the match yay Alfonso Perez became the hero of the day smitten

Here's the video

Enjoy the win of your fave team hug
@ITM Forget my first comment in the post above! I read your last post wrong! blushing blushing
Inthemind, yes, a very exciting buzzer-beater. And the name "The Flash" suits my fave player. wine

Ed, thank you. blushing Your new pic tells me how happy you are with your visit to your children and grandchildren. Thank you for sharing the joy with us here in the blogs.
No worries and take your time, inthemind comfort I hope you had a great time of gig last night hug wine
La Chica - Hi there hug

Any sport... when the game is close and remaining moments are few... and little chance remains... and one team is able to make the right things happen... to reverse the likely outcome and find success when it seems unlikely... really fun to watch! dancing ... to be part of each piece of history as it occurs.

There are moments in sport and in any endeavor ... moments like this one ... that provide motivation and excitement and make us feel a bit more alive. So cool. Very cool
