Cyber Feelings. I Mean, Really? C'mon.

Do you believe Burma's Aung San Suu Kyi's release from house arrest and consequent inclusion into representative politics is a genuine attempt by the Myanmar Junta to push the country toward true democracy, or simply a thinly veiled attempt to gain favor from the international community?

To fool us. Guess Aung kinda know it too, but probably mean the attention she brings to the cause can pave thw way for future groups with international focus allready inbedded. So she did some good anyw, imo.

My father said: if she'd be tougher and do what she's supposed to do she'd be killed by now.
uh oh

Hey Ham, I read the news and was wondering why the govt was being soft on her lately...the election result I guessed. Anyway, I do hope someday I can go there when its political situation gets better and better. It's on my list wine
Ham : wave I am optimistic, like the majority people in Barma. Aung San Suu Kyi was invited to Europe, Germany and othe countries. peace
What u wanna go there for Lachi, u got family there or show your symphaties to a suppressed people?

drinking
Watch out for a hypocrite, Ham roll eyes
For traveling morgen and maybe to prove if the world is flat or round very happy Check Bagan, Mandalay, Yangon wine
It's been an attempt to gain international community's favor all along. Had the international community not been paying attention nor giving pressure, Suu Kyi would have still been home arrested.
Although it can't possibly be a bad thing having her inclusion in the political process, I tend to think it is just smoke and mirrors with a hidden agenda lurking underneath. I'm also betting before the years end there will be a protest of some description resulting in the armed forces killing again - old habits die hard.
