My favourites inhabit a much darker, heavier genre. Those wonderful, powerful, big thick baritones of heavy rock are simply fabulous. Guys like Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) Arran Lewis (Staind) and Scott Stapp (Creed) are all most excellent to sing along with if you have a decent baritone yourself.
From the Femmes - Amy Lee (Evanescence) is a current leading light.
You can't beat those big powerful songs that you can sing as hard as you can (3 or 4 consecutively and your voice will be gone). How these guys do concerts 2 hours long, heaven only knows.
