Guess the ones who show kindness are the most mist

Guess the ones who show kindness are the most mistreated and abused, but too much of this mistreatment can have a horrific effect on ones personality as the years go by, turning them into monsters and a total different personality.

Guess they begin to realize, that it is much safer being the opposite way and realize, their is no such thing as friends.
Ouch!

It does seem like a lot of people take advantage of others' kindness. I've been taken advantage of on more than one occasion. But I refuse to lower myself to the standards of those who've hurt me. I am, however, more cautious when it comes to trust. I'm a bit guarded at first, and maybe I'm a bit much to take, but it's a defense mechanism. I figure that those who don't try to get to know me beyond the initial harshness aren't people I should trust. As my profile says, "If you can't handle the worst of me, you don't deserve the best of me."
Great post SnarkyEmpath .....

Mrcreative I personally think it doesn't hurt to be kind .... It always comes back doubled ... The people that don't appreciate your kindness are just ungrateful idiots ....
some people mistake kindness for stupidity ......... therein lies the problem. A kind person can be taken advantage of if he/she lets it so. I consider myself kind and generous , people tell me that , but once someone tries to take advantage of me i clamp up and i give nothing.
Just because you choose to be kind and helpful do not allow yourself to be taken for a ride , thats the key. saskia
Somehow I had a dream about this guy last night and I mistook you as someone else! confused
You know Mrcreative,it is still nice to know that even amongst the negatives on this planet. There are still kind people out there. Going back a few years ago,I went into a department store to do some shopping,I was looking for head scarves as I was losing my hair due to treatment.
Of course the ones I wanted were terribly over priced. So I decided to put them on lay-by,meanwhile a lady started talking to me in the Que. My daughter was five at the time and she told my daughter that mummy would look great in these scarves and we just chatted for a bit. Anyway, the next day,I got a phone call from the department saying that my items had been paid for,and for me to pick them up. I discovered this beautiful lady had payed for my scarves. I cried,in the shop,I later tracked her down to thank her,I was so grateful. Some people as you mentioned close their hearts off for having giving natures, but there are still those left who give no matter what.
I think a lot of people think kindness is a sort of weakness....a flaw of sorts. And then want to walk all over you...conversing
The key to good returns when you are kind is in the reasons for your kindness. If you do a favor to garner favor, your intent is visible and perhaps even shallow. If you give, not letting your left hand know what your right is doing, your reward comes from within and is too satisfying to not be kind again.
This comment does not include those who give in the hope of appeasing an aggressor; although it sometimes doesn't work the intent is honorable.

I am "stupid" to love...but Love never fall, according to God s spiritual laws. It s wise. The malice and hardships are as a ball, hitting on me. Realize, that not everybody lends to the evil.
I was in the store one time with my kid. We were in line at the counter and there was a woman ahead of us. My kid kept asking for something inexpensive (gum, maybe?), but I kept saying,
"Honey, we just can't afford this." This went on for about five minutes, until the woman ahead of us handed me a dollar bill without saying a word. I thanked her, and we went home happy to have been blessed by a total stranger.
"Only kindness can attract and bring up kindness"
That's what I keep in my mind.. playball
It's human nature to respond the way we are treated. You get back what you put out.
