Background check

Being a victim of a scammer, I certainly have learned signs to look for. Some scammers are very crafty and can get to you anyway. I usually do background check on any serious contacts. One contact found out I did a check on him. He was very upset about it. I feel like if a man has nothing to hide, why would he object to having a background check ran on him. What do you think? Let me hear from you men out there.dunno confused

Had the same experience. He was upset even though I explained and apologized for having to make sure he is who he claimed to be. Asked him something in Afrikaans about Cape Town where he claimed to live. He replied but not in a nice way and never heard of him again. Will never know if he was for real as he understood the question but the answer made it clear that he does not know Cape Town at all. Maybe he knew how to use Google translate... laugh
