bridging the gap from chatting to meeting....

Hi all, I'm very new to this site but have had a lot of grief from ppl I chat to that wants to meet and when I say its too soon they get agitated. I really want to meet someone but am also weary about all the horror stories out there. How do I bridge the gap between the two spheres???

Whoever gets agitated is unfit for the job. Take your sweet time dear. Meet with them only when YOU feel ready.
@jager..... Welcome to the blogscswelcome I think what your doing is right..... don't meet someone until you get to know them!!
thumbs up thumbs up
Thanks steff, means a lot coming from a male.
@godaniel thank you for the welcome kind sir.
@virgo, almost everyone that messaged me don't want to stick to CS. Always wanting phone numbers, bbm pins or email addresses. Is it just me or can't we stay on CS at least a while first?
How do you get to know someone without meeting them?

If I feel we have things in common I would prefer to meet asap, why spend lots of time just messaging each other?
why not ....?? it would be nice to find out if they are a good person long befor you meet them ....banana
Hi Jager wave If you're not comfortable suggest speaking over skype first - set up a different account that you can delete should the person prove to be a problem. You take your time, trust your instincts and let no one pressurise you into anything. Daar is baie skelms hier en jy moet baie versigtig wees. Moenie joy persoonlike informasie vir hulle gee tot jy weet hulle is eglike mense. Good luck! handshake
@lady, thanks for the idea. Will definitely do so
@virgo I would like to get to know them first yes. Feel the waters and all that jazz. Lol
@zm...who me? Where? Who?
yes its what I like best , to learn about them ...like I've learnt that I cannot get along with some star sign like Libra and Capricorn women and those born with the Fire-horse star sign , and it wont be obvious straight away but over time is shows there faults ...and we are here for one long lasting relationship and not a heap of short ones ...banana banana
Kinda familiar.. Usually, them who want to meet up so soon, and make you feel pressured to do it, that if you won't they'd stop the communication, well, better stop. They're just want to hook up.

Unless you want the same thing.. wave
No wonder people are not dating from here, no one will agree to actually meet, ridiculous.
@glatvol I want to meet someone but I've only been chatting about a week and already feel pressure. To give personal info & to set up meetings. I think its too soon specially since they not very forthcoming with their info.
isn't it better to get along with someone and learn as much as possible about them ,and then arrange to meet .....but if all you want to do is hook-up and get laid , well thats your thing too wave
Lol getting laid isn't even on my radar yet. And what happened to meeting, getting to know each other, getting married and then getting laid? The world is moving too fast for me these days.
What do you mean by personal info?
Ph numbers, email addresses, bbm pins. Personal info to communicate via other than CS
How do jagerwave
well if their reluctant to share personal details, like maybe give you their moile number, then the chances are it cos their married or are already in a relationship dunno and them that don't have their picture up and won't send it to you in private, the chances are they have a face only a mother could love..and who hee wants to mammy their men or be the 3rd person within the couple uh oh

when you have a good feel for someone, only then should you meet and if in doubt and not sure, don't do anything untill you are.
I agreed with Itchy about phone numbers... that is a very very important thing...It saves your time... you can chat there before you are ready to meet him...
i would say meet at the earliest. U don wanna spend days on someone here and end up liking him for what he writes! and then u meet him and its a frog. that would be bad.
so better, meet at the earliest.
