The bad thing about a wider audience, for me at least all the crappy negative and down right stupid things I've heard that people say, I'm actually seeing.

You get a mix of people in any group.

It is up to us to decide who to entertain and who to ignore cheers

You're finding just how different people can be from different parts of the country and the world. I am probably closer in personality and background to you than just about anybody on this site. My sister for years lived around 21st Ave in Astoria by the Con Ed plant and I lived for years in the Queensbridge projects in LIC, Vernon Blvd & 41st Ave. Yep, the world is full of surprises. hug

People are not really that much different. Most of the time when you have a group of people together it is a matter of same people, different faces.
Oh no I know people are different all over the world.
My social group is made of of people from all over. I've always lived and socialized within an extremely diverse group.

What I'm finding is lack of open minded thinking. Lack of understanding. And just a lack of plain ole human common sense.

Eh, it is what it is.

And on to the next adventure.

Oh and Astoria has changed alot over the years. It is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in NYC.
