Solutions anyone?

After Bali trip last year and Phillipines trip recently I can't quite get my head around the pollution I have seen there. Is it a goverment problem, a social economic problem, or what. it seems it is out of controll and I can only forsee it getting worst if some action doesn't happen.
The smog made me sick in Manila and am just recovering.

Hi Funlaugh, isnt it disgusting (people can be pigs.) Here in Australia we have (clean up Australia day) it is a great idea and is the answer to their problem they just need one person to get it rolling! Its a voluntary thing and should "ALWAYS" stay that way, all that you need is some heavy duty gardening gloves a bag and common sense.cheers handshake
Hi Fun,

I also am so sorry that you could not enjoy your trip in Bali bcos of pollutions. But I take your blog as information since I plan to visit Bali on Mid April for holiday.
Oh and some non pigs to give an hour each one day a year. By the way after seeing that i wouldnt go near the place "if they paid me!" wave
the smog in Manila was to much yes jeepneys blowing black smoke , 9 lanes of traffic.
Bali the smog was not noticable but rubbish in both places, especialy plastic , every where. No a rubbish bin to be seen or collection truck. As much as I love going to these place I'm getting more disappointed with each trip.
Welcome to the Thrird world big time
What you have seen is happening all over the world
Every one wants a car a new TV and all the rest,

We humans will kill the Earth if we go on like this.peace
When I went surfing to Bali in the late 70s the pollution was starting to become a problem, so by now it would be out of hand.
I have always stated if it can't be recycled, composted or reclaimed it should not be produced. Where do you think most of the rubbish that's being mistaken for the missing aircraft comes from.
I have built a stove that burns all that plastic and other burnable rubbish as well as wood and coal ....its the tin cans that have to be burn't to speed up rust
ooby, I agree with you!thumbs up
Yes when you go to the islands it a different story although its still there just not as prolific.
Its mainly plastics and a lot of it's recyclible, I don't know , better education towards pollution?
rather than talking about it and being on the blogs, maybe we all need to do something about I doh just a thought grin
typo so something about * It dunno
Ok not something I can do much about but had a thought and sent a complaint to the tourism board of the country, probably a waste of time but something.
