Nothing fun about that!!...the waters are already polluted with plastic and medical waste and oil spills...now this...we have a responsibility to protect our oceans not just for the ocean life but to maintain our own life and livelihood...it is a shame...

Have you read about the aboli out brake as well, another scary thought. Some times its not so bad being at the end of the earth.

This is scary stuff. No use spending millions on cancer research if some cause cancer at a grand scale without us even knowing. We also get fish from that part of the ocean. No more fish and chips at a restaurant as it is mostly the catering places that sell the imported fish.

Hello funlaugh,wave Totally agree with you.yay Afew years back, I attended public meetings concerning the possibility of a nuclear power plant being built in Saskatchewan. Data from 3mile island, chernoble, and afew other places was presented. So much more happened that the public isn t aware of. (after effects)Its scary.
I went to these meetings with an open attitude , but facts, and people from these disasters sure made up my mind.doh

1to1 You are pretty vulnerable up there where you live and I am glad that you didnot get a Nuclear Plant built . People need to educate themselves. Here in Ireland, we have British Nuclear Fuels over in Wales, just 60miles from Dublin here. They have had many accidents and have covered up many accidents.
Our Government is very complacent about the fact that The Irish Sea is one of the most radioactive in the world.
We all need to be proactive about our planet thumbs up

Fun It is very sad and disturbing what we are doing to our planet with plastic bottles, waste, oil spills etc., we have a total disrespect for our Oceans, wildlife, sealife, Rainforests etc and still expect the Earth to continue producing when we are treating it with such wanton disrespect but have no fear, Mother Earth will hit back.
