If it is an ongoing issue do not ignore it...see your surgeon or GP...they should have given you medication as well...maybe you went back to work too soon...
See your doctor and get some pain killers...take it easy at work if you can...can they can give you lighter duties...
i broke my collar bone as a kid and they said later in life it will bother me, i only feel it now and then

Ask your doctor if there is something you can do to reduce the side effects...or maybe another drug...
If the injury happened because of work...it seems odd they would call it degenerative...anything to keep them from paying out...
