I learn a very important lesson last week. We should never try the same thing over and over and expect different results.

If at first you don't succeed, try again. But there's no point trying when you gave it your best shot twice. But there have been a few times where I didn't give up trying, because I'm a stubborn ole mule. I managed to accomplish what I set out to do, even if it took me a while. it depends on the situation I guess to how many times you try.

lessons are there to help us not to repeat what we've been through bt to make sure we are strong to carry on and avoid getting into it again...be always happy and accept..cheers ma friend ..thumbs up

@the doctor.The situation is different. It is not the situation of failing at something and trying again to succeed. It is more like being in a dysfunctional relationship which you know you have to get out of but you keep staying and trying and hoping one day things might be different when the situation is not going anywhere. I moved out from my family a few years ago because of clashing views. I moved back in and nothing has changed. Still have clashing views.

Most of us are hopeful when it comes to that Thondae. Sometimes they change for the better, but I think that's why we can be blindly optimistic when they don't. It is rather sad though when things don't change.

confused Change; mmmmm; we can only change ourselves and no one else. I read someone's words one day, this person wrote "if nothing changes, nothing changes"; profound, simple, and very true. Maybe your parents like the way they are, and maybe you have changed and haven't realized it. dunno albeit, the definition of non-change is: frustrated
