Is there anyone real out there?

As a newbie to online dating, I admit I have a phobia that people may not be honest with his or her photos and information shared. Can any of you veterans give advice how to weed the fake from the real, sincere people who use CS? I see a lot of blogs where many of you have become friends. Is this site mostly fir friendships? Or are their successful matches too. Help? Please?

I know you may wonder why I don't have a photo posted. This is exactly why. I want to meet and make acquaintances based upon who I am and my moral character. Not my looks.

Welcome.

Just be suspicious of people mentioning they are god fearing in their profiles and anyone asking you to chat with them off this site immediately (like on yahoo or something). There is a lot of information on these blogs that discuss this same concern.

Hello, from my experience, I ve chatted with some very nice people, I ve also chatted with liars, goldiggers, and low lifes. And I can imagine those dicriptions describe both female, and males on the chatline. But a person has to have a positive attitude in life. Take your time, and you know when you re chatting with some of those good people. Its a life lesson, Bill

HI beY, wave first of all best of luck with finding what your are looking for and congrats to posting a pic - a lot of people don't correspond with people without pics because they think they have something to hide - like a spouse etc.

If something looks too perfect, it usually is, you can check photos with google to see if they are of a different person.

My own advice would be to meet asap as possible - meet someone local for a drink in a PUBLIC place or have a conversation on Skype. handshake

Hello,cswelcome dancelineYou're already got some good advices so I wish you best of luck in finding lot's of fun on the blogs,as well privatly.I think KNenagh have given you wise advice to look for people closer to your home as in distant relationship it's hard to check things out -altrough we know people that work things out miles away teddybear
