On the 22nd of this week i had a 10:00 AM appointment at Everitt&H
urite to see a eye doctor for a routine
exam that never took place because of the dozens of other clients in the waiting room that were backing him up and holding me up as well-which is why i ended up frustrated and departed as a result.crying frustrated

Yes I did. I told the lady at the front desk that i had one;on the 21st of this i got a official recording via phone that i had a appointment on the 22nd-that from the office of the eye doctor.

good for u they over book,i walked out n never went back,its like like it or lump it,i find a new dr.

Either they over-booked or accepts walk-ins. In either case, at many doctor's offices, if you don't show up, they will send you a "no show" bill. In your case, you show up and can't see the eye doctor within 15 mins. of your scheduled appointment...that doctor should be paying you for your valuable time. But it doesn't work that way. I dunno why! No fun!

Actually in the US there have been civil cases where patients have indeed successfully sued the doctors for money lost waiting for a scheduled appointment that took hours to actually happen. The big decider for those court cases was when the person suing was/is able to document not just the fact they sat around for hours, but also show that doing so cost them big bucks in other arenas.
