Do/Can Leopards change their spots.....

How often have we given someone a second chance...it is often the way we are raised, but what happens when that chance is again abused.....and we pull the rug rather quickly, the intention to safe guard ourselves from further abuse.
But when a person tries it on for the third time, and totally out the blue, making out they have come across your cell phone number, and can't put a name to a face and more....how you know each other......
Now you can believe its genuine, but how can it be....they must be trying it on...but why?
Is it the way we are raised, lacking morals and manners, so thick skinned....I am stunned they would try it again and again....months/years apart....they must believe they will win...does that make them an optimist or an idiot.....?

A person can change but most choose not to.
Giving someone a second chance endorses bad behaviour and leaves the perpetrator with the knowledge that the forgiver is either stupid , desperate or open for further deceit.
I learnt early on in my life , to give a second chance is to accept bad behaviour, so why have that in your life? Better Find people Who match your standards and people you can trust. Who needs untrustworthy people in their lives.?
I vote for idiot. Had that kind of people in my life as well. One of them made me swear so bad that I felt ashamed of myself after the incident. At least never heard of him again.
People can change, but often only for worse.

I don't believe in giving ex's a second chance.
Track 16....I have to agree.....
NiceFeet...I always tried to give benefit of the doubt, but yes they are just users....
I think I thought idiots, because I didn't want to believe the worst, but if they do it once, they sure can do it again....and will....sadly.
When we start off with someone ..we dont say.."This is your 1st chance".....so its not a 2nd chance.........its a 1st one.....
Leopards shed. New fur grows. Sometimes the pattern does indeed shift. Whoever invented the saying knew nothing about Leopards. Spotted or not, it remains a dangerous predator.
Jac the Gripper......well said.....what we accept one day we may not accept another...it is our choice...and life is about choices we make every day.....we do what we feel is right at that time.....
