It nearly confused me...
One day, my bicycle had some trouble at an university campus. I was told there was a bicycle repair man who was located near the student's dormitories.So I went there but couldn't find. I had to ask a student nearby.
He thought a while and then replied; "go ahead along this path, then turn right, you will find it exactly on a diagonal of that building." I amazed at his precise answer, but I totally lost in his last sentence as well.
Wondered which of the building? which of the diagonal?? Shy to ask him again, I had to pretend to understand and gave him an expression of praise,then said;" Did your TJ (university)students answer questions in this way?" without noticed his reaction and said thanks, I went away,but followed his clue, went ahead and turned right, without any diagonal,that place was already in front of me...
He was good to explains in details, but I was nearly lost in it for my simple mind... Poor me , and lucky him who is studying at that university which is famous in its architecture design field.:laugh
In real life, just keep things easy like this unknown cat would be better I think.
