Rainstorm in Shanghai
As our rainy season arrived,it has been rained for 3 days . Last night it rained so heavily which was seldom happened in Shanghai before,the sounds of the raindrops were not melodious any more but intensely through the all night which looked like the sky would poured down together, especially mixed with lightning followed thunder really scared a faint- hearted.
I felt lucky that my dad stayed safe in hospital since yesterday morning for his next 20 days treatment.As usual, this morning I went to hospital for his breakfast. it still rained outside and seemed don't want to stop, but was rather more moderate. Neither lightning and thunder which I liked.
I rolled up my trousers and rode on my bike in the rain, I needed careful riding in such busy streets, some small streets were flooded. Big or small vehicles all looked like watering cars when driving in the water streets, I liked to see that as long as the water didn't splash to me. but if it happened I would like to enjoy it as well. As I am a water lover.I didn't worry about my cloths being dirty as I wearing my raincoat.
I go to the hospital for 3 times each day. Today I changed 2 trousers. Somebody joking at me let me cut off my trouser's legs instead of rolled them up. No... I don't want to spoil my trousers though I am looked as a farmer in their eyes. But a farmer is also a human being.
I watched the News tonight,this very heavy rain leaded more disasters to others;
Some streets were covered more deep water.Many license of cars were washed away by the water.Some cars was broken in the water and couldn't move on. One underground garage became a river at where no single cars could be escaped. Water of small rivers was rised up toward to the surface of the bridge. They used earthwork cars to pressed on its surface for balance the water buoyancy.
Is it a safe way to let heavy cars on the bridge? I still don't understand that. But anyhow, the rain is stopped now, hope everything will be back to its normal way soon. Bad News will be turned into good News. Isn't it?

yes water can be very powerful indeed, in fact it has been known to wash bridges away completely
im not sure parking heavy vehicles on a bridge helps cos the water washes the foundations away
making the bridge collapse!

Sounds like you need to wear a life jacket in that weather. Look at the bright side of this: if you fall of your bike, you have your bath for the day!

It's also a catch fish day for free as the fish ran out of their "home" which was also flooded.

Once one of my slipper was dropped down in the water, I had to stop and pick it up with my foot before it drifted away.I giggling for myself as well.
