It would be a dream come true if I could bow down and pay my humble obeisances to him in person. To be able to touch his feet, that would be a bonus.....please please please

Have a peaceful and calm weekend ahead my lovely CS peeps

@ Mimi - wave .. That's where you and I differ, as much as I respect in you to believe in whatever you do, I bow down to no other human. I believe that no one person is above or more superior to any other being regardless of how well they spent their lives or influenced another's.

All men and women are equal, we all have the same good and bad in us and it's up to each induvidual to exercise the greater of the two to serve the best outcome for themselves and those around them.......... thumbs up

That would be a lovely day to meet his holiness the Dalai Lama
we need alot more like him on this earth.

Walk good Mimi..hug
It's a cultural thing for me, Hans. I bowed down to my in-laws and my ex-husband too during the Diwali celebrations over the years coz out of respect.

Pssttt! Left you a note on Face-puzzles wink

Yup Flyjames, we definitely need more people like him...

Yes lady I would to the Dalai Lama, and day any time.

Some of us do bow to the Queen of Englandpeace
@Hans
Two points (in my view):
One if one should bow down to the other human being? yes, but only if I am more than assured of the elevation.thumbs up
Two you can't understand it with your objective approach.thumbs down
Hans

It is and the strange thing is, I don't mind doing it at all....

Go back to the Face-puzzles!! giggle giggle giggle
Flyjames

To be able to meet His Holiness Dalai Lama, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2 would be the ultimate dream......another one for me is to meet my Bobikins.... wink smitten smitten smitten
@ iotaoo - Like I have already stated, NO PERSON ON THIS EARTH IS GREATER OR OF MORE IMPORTANCE THAN ANOTHER.... therefore there is no elevation either.

I do however respect that there is a cultural difference for some Eastern countries.

... grin cheers
@Hans
I didn't talk of cultural ways, to show respect. I am no follower on that count.
I mentioned the cause i.e. "the elevation" and also told the reason why you can't appreciate it.
NO PERSON ON THIS EARTH IS GREATER OR OF MORE IMPORTANCE THAN ANOTHER
I 100% agree with you.thumbs up
But there is definitely a scope of elevation, transformation and thereby evolution...a subjective evolution other than the natural evolution. Your objective approach is your ignorance though the objective approach is the only legitimate approach for scientific development.
We have aPresident here Who(in his mind).Thinks we should bow down to him......
But there is one more person Mimi hasnt realixed she would bow down to.........The "One"who bakes those CUPCAKES!!!!!!!!!rolling on the floor laughing
Guadal

People in those countries bow down out of fear and intimidation...
Cupcake Maker approaches Mimi with a Freshly Baked Tray Of Banana Nut Cupcakes and this is what Mimi does....bowing
Nam

All the world leaders think the same, not just your POTUS drinking

Btw, my daughter bakes all the cupcakes in the house so it's all good, no bowing down to her is ever required tongue
Gooooooooooooooooooood morning Nam.

You had a good night sleep?
Yeah...But there were no Cupcakes in my dream...........detective
Dalai Lama does not seek others bow before him, never has and never would.

However I think only a fool would maintain ones own misguided pride and place himself/herself above or as an equal before even the lowest ranking monk or nun.

I have attended before and looked deeply into HH Dalai Lamas eyes, then as requested for past 25 engaged in a process HHDL requested me to.

Dalai Lama is but a humble Monk and some say living rebirth of Chenrezig
Hi Mimihandshake
It would be great.cheers
Have a nice weekendcheers
