One if one should bow down to the other human being? yes, but only if I am more than assured of the elevation.
Two you can't understand it with your objective approach.

To be able to meet His Holiness Dalai Lama, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2 would be the ultimate dream......another one for me is to meet my Bobikins....

I mentioned the cause i.e. "the elevation" and also told the reason why you can't appreciate it.

But there is definitely a scope of elevation, transformation and thereby evolution...a subjective evolution other than the natural evolution. Your objective approach is your ignorance though the objective approach is the only legitimate approach for scientific development.
People in those countries bow down out of fear and intimidation...

However I think only a fool would maintain ones own misguided pride and place himself/herself above or as an equal before even the lowest ranking monk or nun.
I have attended before and looked deeply into HH Dalai Lamas eyes, then as requested for past 25 engaged in a process HHDL requested me to.
Dalai Lama is but a humble Monk and some say living rebirth of Chenrezig
It would be great.
