NEW YEAR NEW FISH
I was going to start a kipper diet today but I changed my mind as thought it was a RED HERRING...and this started me thinking about other fishy stuff...I've done quite a bit of fishing in my life and none better but when I was younger...I guess the young Unique Crystal was keen on fishing from an early age..and to be fair I was showing potential as a eager young fisher woman way back...
I came to this conclusion even though I was already barred from the fishing rod itself and demoted as I felt at the time to a ground line...Yeah apparently I was too lethal at casting out even though I hadn't snared anyone whilst doing so..Okay it was a near miss but anyway there was me the child Unique...complete with ground line forced to fish at the edge of the harbour...and I became quite good at it though I never got promoted to a fishing rod due to the day someone standing below me fishing under the harbour wall...He 'foul hooked' my fish..a plaice...and reeled it in like a thief...I went absolutely crazy!!!
I marched down to the foul hooker and demanded MY fish!...He being 6 ft and 19 ish looked at the mere 13 Years old girl screeching and laughed and continued to kept the fish...Mind you he didn't get away with it because I took the entire bucket of his bait and threw them all over him...sand eels slime and all...and as he went to clock me one...I stood there saying "Don't even think about it!!!" and turned round and stumped all the way up the steps back where I'd came from...
My apologetic father picked the sand eels up for the young man and said sorry to the fish thief...I found that cowardly LOL...
Hence to say I was barred completely from fishing after this...Unfairly!
But still I had one anchor and one foul hooked fish to my credit.. Since then I have always fished on land...
