I'm Headed For The Horizon
Time loses all it's meaningAnd I leave the world behind
As I head for the horizon
Where the water meets the sky.
Keep my eye upon the sails,
Feel the direction of the breeze,
Becoming one with Nature
And setting my senses free.
The sun glistens on the water
As if stars were hiding there.
The path before me is so bright
As the wind whips through my hair.
The seagulls dive for food
The buoy bobs up and down
The fish jump out of the water
The clouds move without a sound.
The wind frightens with fury
Or teases like a friend.
Seeing you on your journey
Or bringing it to an end.
Lord, keep that wind flowing steady
For I long to reach my goal.
And if I can reach the horizon
I know, then I can touch my soul.
