The Many Faces of the Wind

As I look across the ocean
The gentle waves are rolling in
And out along the horizon
The sails billow in the wind.
The stallion lifts his head
Catching the scent upon the breeze
That warns him there is danger,
Telling him it's time to leave.
In the fields of wildflowers
The hypnotic colors sway.
I long to lie down in their midst
And dream away the day.
I yearn to touch the clouds
As they roll across the sky
And move to block the sun
To make the shadows die.
I know that God is with me
And has blessed me once again
Because I live to look upon
The many faces of the wind.
