LA Fitness Shootings

I woke up this morning and flipped on the news, like I always do. I got an ear full.

A gunman walks into a LA Fitness in P.A.,heads toward the Aerobic Room, turns out the lights and starts shooting.

You are not safe ANYWHERE, it could happen at anytime. People are snapping, they have had enough and they are going to take you with them. This world has turn people cold and desensitized them.

I wonder what was going through his head the moment he pulled the trigger? What motivates people to shoot and kill humans like wild animals? Questions that may never be answered, they died with the gunman.

Perhaps we all need a little bit of compassion toward those reaching for help. There are always signs. Instead of turning away, reach out to help that person struggling through bumps in their road. Give them your hand with love and understanding, tell them it will be okay.

You never know, you could be saving many lives.

i live in the area and they say this man was very to himself. he had planned this for a while.senseless murder no doubt.
Signs hell! He had YouTube videos and online blogs for years detailing how very hurt and frustrated he was! Seems to me that he was crying out for help... and either nobody was listening, or nobody particulary cared.

It's sad, the women that were shot did not deserve such a fate, but this shows a major failing of our society: Too much quality time alone can be deadly. frustrated

I don't think he was out to kill any particular person, he just hurt so bad that he wanted to hurt society for turning it's back on him. Think about it, turning the lights out didn't exactly improve his aim... the darkness hid the faces of the individuals he was hurting. He didn't want to hurt individuals he wanted to hurt society before killing himself as a final act to stop his pain.

Things never should have gotten to that point.... and society's response, will most likely be to put metal detectors at the entrances to gym facilities or some such nonsense. Brilliant! doh
