Parking

Maybe someone can explain this to me.

I frequently park far out in a parking lot, in relatively empty areas. It isn't that I drive some new or fancy car that I am concerned about (I drive a pickup). But, for the most part, I like fewer dings, and I don't mind the walk. And, on those rare occasions when I do have a new car, then Yes, I am trying to protect my new investment.

Anyhow, when I return, there is almost ALWAYS two more vehicles parked RIGHT BESIDE ME ! WHY?
With an entire parking lot at their disposal, WHY do they feel the need to park next to me? (or anyone else for that matter)
And why couldn't they leave at least one space between us?
No no. Hundreds of empty spaces, acres of empty lot, and they are compelled to park as close as possible to someone else.

Do the owners think that my car is "lonely", and they want to make it "happy"?
Do they have some bizarre notion of "safety in numbers"?
Do they think that I have some cosmic connection with the universe, and that I have chosen this particular remote spot because "it will improve my karma", and they want to partake?
Do they have some bizarre notion of "feng sui", and they are trying to "balance the energy in the parking lot"?

W T F ? ? ?
