We stood in the rain
Standing at traffic lights with my hood down even tho it was raining. A woman looked at me and smiled can I ask you something she asked? Yes of course I replied noticing that she and her friend were holding a map. Are we going the right way to get to the park she asked. Yes you are I replied. I then showed them on the map both ways to the park and told them that one way is quicker but the other way is a nicer walk.what way would you go they asked. I said the nicer way and the girl who asked me for directions smiled again and said she also liked to walk int he rain. The lights changed and we parted company. I looked back when I was half way down the road and the girl was walking alone in the rain. It seems her friend had decided she did not want to walk in the rain and the girl decided to walk alone.
I thought maybe I should go back but I did not. I got to the cross roads and I seen the girl again she was going in a different direction to me. She looked at me from a few feet away stood a few seconds and smiled and we both went our different ways.
