it's part of friendship but I think a friend is someone you can always turn to, one who will understand without judging...friendship is also a give and take, both has to his'her part to keep the friendship going..

What makes a great writer is
Basing on their experiences that makes it even more better
and readable.
I do that too
But recently, a friend of 40 years, who I have supported through awful bipolar episodes when she thought I was stealing her things [she becomes psycotic], recently became appalling rude, I have made so many allowances but I get very depressed too and take meds for that, as well as physical mobility probs.
She was appallingly rude, cannot go into it here, but really hurt me. It was something that fractured the friendship beyond repair.
Distance can being clarity, and now, after 40years of dedicated friendship and loyalty on my part, she is gone, doesnot miss me. I hear she is ok, mentions me to another person but she was never really a great friend, It was always me who did the running.
this hurts, so am just bringing it in to Nams blog as it is relevant. Friendships can be lopsided... when you are giving and giving and the other person is taking and taking..... it is time to say goodbye.
That can be painful.
I do agree with much said.
I would say that friends are understanding of you. They know your strengths and weaknesses and don't pass judgment on you.
Found my internet connection was messed up when I reached home last night...and couldn't find my calculator so I watched some good movie instead...Assault in Precinct #9, rerun but a good movie.
