As to your main blog - Africa is the cradle of civilization and the first hominids developed there, so we are all from Africa.
Or those original hominids bred with colonizing aliens, according to some beliefs.
I do find it a little odd that we are the only race on Earth to have chins, which seem such an unnecessary thing to have evolved that maybe, just maybe, there was something odd in our development. Even Neanderthals didn't have chins, Cro-Magnon man suddenly did.
My personal fancy is that Earth was a prison colony and problem citizens from another world were deported here, it explains so very much about us
