Age Difference

Since I have joined this site, I am getting more responses from women in the 30-35 year old range than closer to my age, and I am 56.

I am wondering why this is? Any thoughts?

Maybe this can help to filter out those women.

Set an age blocker in your profile so they can't send you any messages any more. Unless you are seeking for that age group.

Hi Dwarbit. Might help if u mention in ur profile what age group of women u are interested in though I know not everyone goes to the trouble of reading full profiles. Many young women may be encountering men of their own age who lack maturity n hope that by contacting older men they may be less likely to play mind games or to stray at the first sign of trouble.

Thank you all for the great comments and suggestions. I will put an age range in my profile and see how to block certain ranges. Long distance, across the seas, kinds of chats don't bother me as I love to travel. But with all things of the heart, I want to start as friends and see if it progresses from there.

I could have never gone for a man 26 years older than I am...the age difference is not just great but scary and absolutely overwhelming for me as well.

If you are a new member , please not that you have the block options in the mail settings of your prifile. Through them, you can block the receipt of mail for certain age groups/ages and allow the receipt of e-mail from women that belong in the age group you are interested in.

But, but "Age Is Only A Number!" Remarkable that a blog could go on this long without that cliche. Besides, it's true for those who don't know any more at 30 than they did at 13.
