Look at the sky

Look at the sky
And tell me why
We can not fly
And touch the sky

Look at the moon
Make me your groom
You'll be my bride
Dressed in white

Please be my guide
In all dressed, in white
Guide me trough life
And be my whife

Let's be tugether
Now, till, forever
Let's shine together
Like stars, forever

In your journey down the hall

In your journey down the hall,
Please wish me softly a goodnight call,
And as you close the bedroom door,
Gently, please, don't make it roar.

For as my eyelids slowly close,
I feel myself drift to repose,
And I begin to dream once more,
Of children's laughter I adore.

I miss them dearly as they played,
Their happiness, it never strayed,
They made me smile, they made me see,
The joy that comes from being free.

I loved to care for them each day,
To cherish them in every way,
To watch them grow, it was a sight,
But now they're angels in the night.

Among the stars they softly roam,
Guiding me through life's unknown,
Even through the darkest night,
They're angels now, among the light.

And I hope dearly, for someday,
We'll meet again, in some small way,
And then no one will say goodbye,
For none of us will ever fly

i wish

I only wish, we had more time
I wish that you, wold still by mine
I wish for things to just be fine
I didn't want, to cross the line

I didn't know what love can be
Untill my life turned in to we
Before all this, was only me
I wish i had your eyes to see

Exactly what you saw in me
That made you, change, us, in to we
My life is better, when youre with me
It's better then, it used to be

Just tell me why ?

Just tell me why ?
I can't just die ?!
This life is mine
Not by designe

Is mine to live
But i can't give...
I'm not alowed
To give my vow

I can not love
that is because
I don't belive
That love exist

At list not now
When people vow
To love each other
Then find another

And that's when they
Find another way
To live theyre life
With new designe

They brake some heart's
I think that's nots
You can go insane
Because of the payne

And that is why
I hope to dye
I want no part
In breaking a heart

I have no wish
To live like this
To live alone
Just by my own

The two Leunigs

I know Michael's cartoons very well, unmistakable style and sharp wit, and as it happens today I came across and posted two of his. At the same time I learnt of his sister. I was searching to see if Michael ever drew a person with two eys, and up popped his sister, Mary

Michael is know to use two characters frequently - The Duck and Vasco Pyjama:

The beauty in the shadow

I stood aside and gazed at you,
And with amazement, I was imbued.
How beautiful you are, I admired,
And wondered if I deserved you, I inquired.

You sat on a chair beside a tree,
Seeming like an angel, not just human, to me.
In the shade of the enveloping tree,
And the sun seemed to pause, agree.

And the wind seemed to whisper to me,
I've never seen beauty like hers, you see.
As if she were a deity,
Lost in the day, yet arriving in the night, so subtly.

You seemed to be so divine,
Beside that tree, in that light so fine.
With the wind caressing your face,
And at your feet, greenery embraced.

peace sad flower
the poem was originaly writen in Romania, but this is a translation of it ( it was writen by me )

The shortest love story: The Destination

She: It's high time. What about our marriage?
He: Marriage is an outdated idea. I would be the last person to opt for the legal prostitution.
They departed.
Two decades later, the she-lovebird was happy to be all alone for the last 15 years.
And the he-lovebird was happy with his wife and two kids.

Dayton Art Institute...

I'm in Dayton, Ohio for a few days and wasted no time checking out some of the interesting things around the city. Wikipedia lists the Dayton Art Institute as one of the top 10 best art museums in the United States. Founded in 1919, and moved to a new building in 1930, it contains more than 20,000 objects spanning 5,000 years.

Initially, walking through the first corridor had drawings on the walls that looked like they were done by school kids and not professional artists. I had a feeling of 'I could do this shit' but it wasn't until 30 minutes of moving from room-to-room that the 'real' artwork started to appear and some really amazing paintings, sculptures and artifacts were on display. Most of the works were behind glass, some had railings as a reminder not to touch, some were in pedestals with acrylic covers so you can walk around and see the work from all views.

Photos were permitted as long as you didn't use a flash. The problem I found was surrounding lighting reflections in the protective glass often obscure the things I wanted to photograph and moving the camera to an angle where the reflections were minimized distorted the view so it was nearly a waste.

For me, the most impressive painting was called 'woman of the directory 1883' by American artist Charles Sprague Pearce who was active in France. From 4 feet away it had photo-like qualities. I Googled the name and there's a company AllPainter selling reproductions of his work for a few hundred dollars.
