'....and I don't want to miss a thing'

We have only had the very first week of the public impeachment proceedings and already the testimony has been powerful with very reliable esteemed witnesses.
We are now just beginning the second week of testimonies and now those with first hand knowledge of the (so called) president's misconduct will testify.

Here's the schedule for this week;

And we are barely past a week of the impeachment inquiry, which will likely go on for months.
Trump is ALREADY burnt toast. By the time this is done, he will be charcoal ashes.

I won't miss you dirty Don. But, I don't want to miss a thing. wave head banger

The Irishman - a review!

When I got home from work yesterday, I made some food and then watched the new Martin Scorsese film on Netflix.

It's a behemoth of a film, clocking n at 3 hours and 30 minutes to be exact. The movie doesn't feel boring at all, which is rare, when it has the run time it has.

The movie stars Robert DeNiro, as Frank Sheeran, a truck driver who gets involved with Russell Bufalino, expertly played by Joe Pesci, and his Pennsylvania crime family, and Jimmy Hoffa, played by Al Pacino.

Slowly you see Frank work his way up from small time errand guy to a powerful hitman. It is a very slow burn, but it's definitely worth it in the end!

There is not much I can tell, in fear of spoiling the story. It is on Netflix, so give it a watch! It reminds me of the classic gangster movies like Casino and Goodfellas, two excellent movies in their own right.

9/10

Midway - a review!

I have always wanted to see Midway, ever since I saw the trailer for it, so I reached out to K to hear, if she wanted to go see it tomorrow. "How about we do it today? I will arrive in Copenhagen at 5.15 pm". I checked the time for when the movie began, and it said 6 pm, so I texted her back, saying "Let's do it". So off I went to meet up with K, and watch the film.

The movie stars Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Luke Evans, Mandy More, Luke Kleintank, Dennis Quaid, Tadanobu Asano, Aaron Eckhart and Nick Jonas, and it follows the supposedly true tale, about what lead up to the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the aftermath of the attack.

Directed by Roland Emmerich, this 100 million dollar explosion is VERY entertaining. From the acting to the story to the effects, this movie just delivers. It's easily one of the best movies I have seen this year, and I have seen a lot.

At one point, during a huge action scene, K looked at me with the biggest smile on her face, and her eyes just lit up with excitement and awe, over what she witnessed. And I agreed with her, because it was just plain badass.

As you would expect, in a big budget war film, there are a LOT of explosions. Like.. A metric asstonne of explosions. They are all done beautifully, and I love just how loud and bombastic it is.

On the journey home, we both agreed, that this movie was extremely well made, and we both wanted to watch it again. We felt the same way when we watched Terminator: Dark Fate. We wanted to watch that again instantly.

So all in all, this movie deserves a 9 out of 10. It's really exciting, full of explosions and noise, and it's just pure entertainment and fun to watch!

Joker - a review

I finally managed to watch Joker yesterday, and it left me severely disappointed.

The movie stars Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, a failed stand up comedian in Gotham City, who assumes the alter ego Joker, after a series of unfortunate events.

Other actors include Robert DeNiro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Bill Camp, Shea Whigham, and Marc Maron.

I was told that this movie was AMAZING, and that I would love it. But after almost 2 hours of runtime, I found myself thinking "This is terrible."

95% of the film is talking, and not much is happening. There are a few scenes of mayhem, but they are generally not very exciting. Even the bloody scenes left me unimpressed.

Joaquin Phoenix, however, is extremely good in the movie. His portrayal of Arthur Fleck will surely net him an academy award for best actor in a leading role, since he owns this movie.

If you are walking into this movie expecting something like Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight, you'll be extremely disappointed. If you expect a movie that is haunting, brutal and down right disturbing, look somewhere else.

It's a short review, but I don't really have anything positive to say about the movie, other than Joaquin Phoenix.

As much as it pains me, I'm giving this movie a 1/10. It could have been SO much better!

If you like Disney movies...

You can get paid $1,000 to watch movies. wow
I am guessing that would help some of the people who are struggling to make ends meet.

Yes, if you get selected, you will not only get paid $1,000, but also get free gadgets and other stuff too.
You have to be at least 18 years old and watch 30 Disney movies in 30 days on their streaming network.

Here's the story;

Honestly, the last Disney movie I watched (with my girlfriend at the time),
was Aladdin, because it featured Robin Williams as the genie. thumbs up

Writing of my screenplay has begun!

I decided to start working on my screenplay earlier. That means a LOT of research in correct NYPD codes, locations of certain things in the screenplay and various names to make up.

So far, I have written 3 full pages. The story is about a terrorist attack in New York City, which I know have been shown SO many times, but I really believe I have a story worth telling. I just need to figure out a name for the story. So far, it's unnamed.

I have just finished the main attack sequence. Now I just need to work out the rest of the story
