In the 20th Century, Britain only made war with countries whose Capital cities began with the letter 'B' - Germany (Berlin), Argentina (Buenos Aires), Iraq (Baghdad), and Serbia (Belgrade). China changed the name of Peking to Beijing and we bombed their embassy. One hopes we will show a little more imagination in this century.

Well I refuse to allow one of my threads for the first time ever to have no replies so I will post on it myself. After all it is St George's day. So, I think this century we could start with the letter 'P' That means we cold have another concerted go at the French. Anyway it would make a change from going to war with any country whose name ends in 'stan'

They have good wine and cheese. And fun little outfits, like the beret. Who doesn't like a beret? The War of 1812 was fought between the United States and Great Britain from June 1812 to the spring of 1815 And maybe the plague had something to do with the 100 years war. Hard to fight when your sick. Might have taken less time otherwise

CjTenorSax: One hopes we can begin to eliminate war from the Earth. Yeah long shot but we better get it together before we eliminate the Human Race. . . . .
