As President Barack Obama concludes his first 100 days on the job, Gallup Poll Daily tracking for the week of April 20-26 finds 65% of Americans approving of how he is doing and only 29% disapproving.

Most Americans like how he is doing. Get used to it!!!

That happens with every election but, fluctuates as each year passes and with each result being favored or not.

He still has most of his 4 years remaining. Let's hope he is on the up with us--that's all I ask. cowboy

lerald: Democrats and Republicans are two heads on the same body with feet that are walking in the same direction. This kind of B.S. has been going on in this country for Decades with no end in sight. Senators and Congressmen have been switching parties for at least the last 50 years. I know of at least 4 Dems that switched to the republican party in the 90's when Clinton was President, Arlen Specter did it 30 years ago, and Strom Thurman did it in the 60's.

thumbs up cheers

rocketqueen: ...and yet the repubs are jumping off the ship as the days go byVeteran Republican Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania switched parties Tuesday with a suddenness that seemed to stun the Senate, a moderate's defection that pushed Democrats to within a vote of the 60 needed to overcome filibusters and enact President Barack Obama's top legislative priorities.
Specter, 79 and seeking a sixth term in 2010, conceded bluntly that his chances of winning a Pennsylvania Republican primary next year were bleak in a party grown increasingly conservative. But he cast his decision as one of principle, rather than fueled by political ambition as spurned GOP leaders alleged.
"I have found myself increasingly at odds with the Republican philosophy and more in line with the philosophy of the Democratic Party," he said at a news conference. He added, "I am not prepared to have my 29 year record in the United States Senate decided by the Pennsylvania Republican primary electorate."

i also see the stock market is moving in an upwards trend at the moment also...........

so long as he doesnt bring in gun reform, i think at the end of his first term, most of you are going to be happy with his presidency.........

Actually, polls show he has NO CHANCE of winning re-election, therefore the switch. He will still have to win a PA primary with the democratic party to be placed on the ballot. Those chances are slim & none.

lerald: Ummmm the last time I checked, the government was for the people by the people, not for Arlen Specter to decide when it's popular to be a Democrat or a Republican. It's people like him that is exactly what's wrong with our government.

Funny...
Arlen is one of the few people who has no qualms about going against his party, as he did to the GOP numerous times.

I'd say we need MORE of that in our gubment.

And the GOP is toast. From moderate to conservative republican, everyone has decried the pathetic state of the party. It would have been foolish for Arlen to stay and lose to Toomey in the primary.

Now, he has basically locked in another term.

First 100 days and Obama has saddled future generations of Americans with STAGGERING debt. Yep, can't wait to see the eventual light bulb going on in the collective heads of the Moonbat Obama supporters, when they finally figure out what HYPERINFLATION means.

No where in the history of the world has massive spending EVER brought a country out of severe recession or depression, and couple that with raising taxes--you "95%ers" still arent naive enough to believe that you too won't be paying for Obama's TRIPLING of the nat'l debt, do you??--on the biggest source of job providers in the US (growing small businesses), and his continually idiotic comments and actions will be a STARK reminder of why it's so dangerous to have a far-left loon in as President.

Translation for the simple-minded Moonbats: Obamenomics will be his undoing in 2012.

It's good to see that even in Mass. there are reasonable thinking people!
Let's watch and see how obama for the rest of his term blames Bush for the decisions Obama has made to saddle my unborn children with debt.
