Just joking - you are right...... Malta is NOT a cheap place to go on holiday, but it's not expensive either.
Here in Gozo some things are cheaper, but we have less choice than the slick Maltesers who are part of the modern world while we Gozitans still crawl around the island on rather slow plodding horse and carts.
Oh well, I had better go feed the donkey - it's braying again and driving me nuts!

If I lived in Malta, I would have said this.
Phoenix, it is beautiful and if you need a place to gather your thoughts then my home is open to you while you do that.
My fridge is full of food and unopened wine and you can kick off your shoes, arch your feet, curl your toes and relax.
As I am not about to move to Malta, we are a bit stuck.
I would like to go to Malta since only being here, simply because I hear so many things about it.
gozo is pretty... but no shops... not like the one's we're used to see..... with lots and lots of different types of shoes.. where you could just spend weeks choosing a pair if only one had time!
