sweetowen: He's 3. He spoke to me from the hospital & he seemed fine. They did a scan & it seemed OK. It was just so scarey. I don't know what I'd do if anything had seriously happened to that little boy!
Hi Sweet, my little one is three as well and has had numerous tranfusions and majour surgery before she was two. Since then I know as a fact that children are very resillient little people. I just came on and read this but I knew he was going to be alright. They do give us adults a fright sometimes. Glad to see he is on the way to recovery.

DazzleYou: Sorry to hear owen. I just saw this - first time I have been on since Friday.
How old is he again?
If I had a dollar for every head shot I took growing up, I would be a very wealthy man.......oh wait, in light of my recent problems, that may not be too comforting.
Good to see you pop in. I might add you sound much better and relaxed!

Thank you taino. Yes, they do give us a scare, very often, if I recall from my daughter.

Yeah, tell me about it...I'm raising two sons, with a younger one who tends to need stitches all too often, and usually only from being with me.
One stitched ear, staple in the back of his head, and a thumb he almost decided he didn't need one day.
To top it off, he thinks it's funny to watch me turn pale and woozy by showing me the wound repeatedly. I've discovered that amongst the few things that make my stomach weak is the sight of my son's blood.

sweetowen: My daughter just called me, in tears. My grandson just fell through the bannister on the stairs, onto the concrete floor below. His father rushed him to the hospital. I'm waiting to hear back from them.
PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM!!!
I don't do praying, love..... but he, you and yours are in my thoughts.... definitely!!

Boys seem to see more ER visits than girls. My sister has 2 boys and it never fails. One or both of them is hurt when I see them. They drive my sister insane! But, they are awesome and so much fun!

Just read through, glad to hear he'll be okay. Concussion is not what you wish for but it is certainly better than the alternative. Calls involving children are always tough on us at work. Keep us posted.
I will prayer for your grandson...I am a mother as well! My daughter is away in another state with her father...I do worry about her! Count on me to be praying for him!! Cathy

My baby boy is doing pretty well. I spoke with him on the phone again last evening. He said, "I fall & bumped my head. But the doctor made it all better!" Then he said, "I love you MomMom!"
