I'm sorry, it's rude to make jokes and not answer the question...

After the ice is broken, I make jokes.

As was mentioned earlier, comment on things to go do...

"You know what I haven't done in awhile..."

"I always thought it would be fun too..."

"I really enjoy..."

If the dude can't hit a pitch that slow,

you don't want him.

Give a Man a Fish...

One day, a rather inebriated ice fisherman drilled a hole in the ice and peered deeply into the hole examining it for fish. Suddenly, a loud voice boomed, "There are no fish down there."

Surprised, but not discouraged, the fisherman continued on. He walked several yards away, drilled another hole and peered deeply into it. Again, out of nowhere, a voice suddenly boomed, "There's no fish down there."

A bit nervous now, the fisherman managed to continue. He walked about 50 yards away and drilled yet another hole, peered long and deep into the hole, hoping for some fish. Suddenly, the voice boomed again, this time louder than ever, "There's no fish down there!!!"

The fisherman, quite frightened at this point, looked up into the sky and asked, "God!? Is that you?"

"No, you idiot," the voice said. "It's the rink manager."

In response to:
Should I let them come up to me?
(they usually don't, so I started going up to them).

Go for it.
Nobody's going to complain.
Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Normally there are no broken ce issues with me, i'm shall we say very friendly and talkative....no need for worrying about uncomfortable silences in my presence.

Normally though, after breaking any ice someone is normally encouraging me to take a look under the water and trying to drown me.

I'm hard to kill though,laugh

No i even avoid the breaking of the ice, want a friend sure, want anything else, you'll be better off looking elsewhere!!

But i'll pet sit for you no problem.

In response to: I have been wondering what it is I am doing wrong..I get eye to eye contact,go up and speak to the guy, some small talk happens, then we go our separate ways never to see each other again...How can you actually get a date? Is it too forward to ask for a date right when you meet?I feel weird about that. Should I let them come up to me?(they usually don't,so I started going up to them).

Hey people be nice to her. She is asking a valid question. Do you ever stay friends afterwards with those you meet? Ask them what does it hurt and relax let it develop if you aren't comfortable and they aren't it's not good for either person darlin.

Clearly not long enough, maybe the next one will just do me a favour and just throw an electric fire into the water while my heads in the lake.

I'll keep you posted on any hopscotch lessons i have in minefields, swimming with electrical fires or para shooting without the bag you pack on your pack.

Soon my luck has to improve? Maybe blindfolded chicken on the motorway might do it.

Some people will be crossing their fingers, but i'll only get clipped, seems i'm just too unlucky to get hit by traffic properlylaugh

How can you get a date? Easy enough depending on where your at.
If your within sight of a coffee shop ask if he wants one...
If you get a cup of coffee you get another 15 minutes or a couple of hours if you've got something in common!

If he said "no", well so what. I mean your heart is not going to stop is it?
What if he said yes? (Then he could give you mouth to mouth after you fainted.)

Believe in yourself. If you enough nerve to ask the question here your strong enough to ask a guy to go for a cup of coffee or the latest movie.
